So, I didn't really know people had opinions on those of us that raid every week until I started reading some forum about the House of Wolves launch. Apparently strictly PvE players don't like that vendors only sell armor that maxes at level 31 and that they should be able to reach 32 like the rest of us. I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to disagree with that.
Raids are fun! They are worth the effort of finding that golden group you finally beat Crota or Atheon with. If I could do it, so could you guys. Now I play with an awesome group every week and we're all friends. The reason raid gear grants you a higher level is because you really have to WORK for it. Just like you do in Iron Banner. Raids reward your hard work and dedication. I think the game is balanced because for those of us that are terrible at PvP, we still have a chance to reach the level cap and vice versa.
I'm still in disbelief that some people call raiders "elitist" and that we "rub it in your faces" (quoting here). It's a proud moment when you finally beat the raid but then it just becomes like any other strike or whatever. Nothing that special. They are a huge part of Destiny that I think everybody should be exposed to. Just saying. You gotta work for that 32, shouldn't just be able to buy it.
