Titan Marks, Warlock bonds, and Cloaks are WORTHLESS!!!
Like the topic says, Titan Marks, Warlock bonds, and Cloaks are WORTHLESS!!! It would be nice if these served some purpose. For example: Blade Dancers can turn invisible. What if a cloak had a buff that extended that. What if Warlock Bonds increased stability? What if Titan Marks just increased melee attacks.
Give these items some meaning other than cosmetics.

I am ok with them just being cosmetic, but BY NO MEANS, should I ever get them from a purple drop or anywhere else that is rare and of value. Bungie just needs to add a style slot so we can look the way we want, instead of having to look like everyone else. At that point, who really cares which class item I am wearing? Still cant tell the difference between me and everyone else in the tower.

They want to look different. the items you mentioned do that to some extent once you start putting stats or abilities on them people would feel compelled to choose 1 particular one. Also those items either give you vanguard or faction rep...I dont want to choose between getting faction rep and stats.

Especially raid class items. I have the one (forget the name) it's the warlock bond and it's literally on fire. It should buff sunslinger or SONETHING. The VOG titan mark should buff fists of havoc.

The Cloaks/Marks/Bonds are there to be unique much to the same way jumpships are built differently. It's to distinguish yourself from other people with the same class and armor.

The buffs need to be a bit more tame than what you suggest ( unless exotics? ) but yes please please give them some effect!

It's not that I don't think they could/should serve a greater purpose, I'm just finding it hard to believe that you think this would be a healthy/balanced set of perks. Now if they all did one really good effect, i.e. say Titans automatically revived Ghosts within their Bubble Super or increased melee lunge range, Hunters got the invisibility duration increase and Warlocks give the CD regen and maybe get a small amount passively to help them feel like they're getting buffed. [i][b]I think it'd be cool to see these as Exotic Class Items that would count against our exotic limit but make it so that we can wear a full Raid set while also gaining an Exotic perk.[/b][/i] Do note, I'm saying this assuming it's the same type of 'at first I thought maybe, but then I was like no' moment. I hope we see something akin to this in the future of Destiny all the same though!

1 ReplyLegendary ones should at least provide light (if not strength, discipline, and/or intellect. But I like your idea of adding a class feature (different ones providing a different class feature).

In any other RPG, this is the trinket slot. But yes, I agree, I've been singing this song once I learned legendary class items are shite as well. But yes they should offer +30 to stats and legendaries offer a perk on top.
