There is no instance in which shoulder charge is better than shotgun. Try to name one... You can't. You shouldn't complain about getting shoulder charged around a corner or whatever because someone could have done the same thing with a shotgun. And if you see them sprinting ahead out you, you can easily land a shotgun killshot before they can charge.
