The Developers are not the problem. Think of how many games are under one publisher. Now ask yourself with all of these games under one publisher: "how can I as a publisher maximize my profitability on all of the games under our belt?". Oh I know the answer. Make sure that not one game is so much greater than the other in order to keep your other games alive and money cash wallet healthy. Destiny was going to be a "game changer" according to the Developers and in their eyes what they have made was a game changer. What got published was not a game changer. It was enough to hold you over. That is all the Publishers see that you need. For some reason there is a "set amount" of "content" that should be available to the general public according to the publishers. Time is money and I understand that the time the developers put into their work takes great amounts of time and resources. I think Bungie was wanting to do more than the standards for their first release and the publishers were like "hells to the no. We have COD lined up, that content will last past that, so lets cut that out. Set a date for the cut content. That way we can micromanage the buyers". They have a schedule set for your wallet. They do surveys, they see when you buy and when you don't. They know what works, this is what they do. They are experts at making money. We do get ripped off at times and so do the Developers. Hard.
