Not trying to start a war, but console games have become overhyped, boring, and unoriginal. It seems that only the big money companies can produce console games.

Really depends on what your interested in. I have a gaming PC, but I really only use it to pick up old games at a discount or play games with lots of mods like Skyrim. There aren't exactly PC only games that I look forward too and even on that platform there are ample overhyped, boring and unoriginal titles. I game on my consoles to just play with friends, though I do like some of the features of the current generations of consoles like recording clips. The problem with consoles game now is that when they released, majority of them seem to not work, this also applies to their cross platform counter parts on the PC as well which sometimes has it worse.

Oblivion>fallout 3>fallout NV>skyrim. These games were All on last gen. Think about the improvements. This is how it gonna be for next gen. Right now I think we're about to enter fallout 3.

It's the start of a new generation. Give it time, good games should start to come out this year. I'm looking forward to Bloodborne, the witcher 3. 🙇

I've seen a few "Give it a few years" that's the problem. Sure we wait a few years, who knows how many games have been dropped. How many of them were really worth the buy. I can't name one game I've been excited to see release soon or in the past besides Terraria on the Xbox. Which was almost what 2 years ago? Thing is, games aren't going to get better. Kids are growing up into games where things are basically handed to you, there is no real incentive for beating a level or completing the game. You have games where you get everything really quick or you beat the game super fast. That's the problem. It's the generation being introduced into gaming. Games should be hard and complex and have you thinking how to get past this part, have a real incentive for beating the game or a level.

Ya I kinda regret even getting an Xbone cause I'm mostly a pc gamer anyway, the console UI is shit and there's still only a small handful of good games.

Not really the truth though, battlefield 4 was pretty great and not overhyped. It's just different companies *cough bungie cough* who oversell their games and they turn into shit. You just need to weed out some of the trash to find good games.

[quote]Not trying to start a war, but console games have become overhyped, boring, and unoriginal. Give it a few more years and games will start to even back out again and actually be interestimg

To a degree I can agree with some of the responses.I love gaming,I have since I was 4.starting with the SNES up to now. I think the biggest problem are the huge companies (EA,UBISOFT,ACTIVISION,etc) are banking on pre sales and just rush it out the door with the mentality of "well just patch it later.dont promise me a great product and delivery garbage. As a consumer I would expect higher of them.its a major factor to me not preordering anything and actually purchasing alot of the indie titles.to help them come into the field and make their names and potential known. It's hard to stay loyal to your passion when it's in such a rough state.

I dont think thats whats wrong with them, its the stupid aim assist is what wrecks them.

I have a ps4 and honestly I'm starting to agree with you. I find most of the community is 14 year old cod kids. I know people will flame me hard for saying that but it's true, so many fanboys. Largest problem I think is that large developers rules consoles and are all about profit so games are made for the lowest common denominator. I find PC is just more open to smaller developers. I know I'm going to get lit up in a few mins for writing this lol.

You are right. However, it's kinda of the same on PC at the moment (with triple A games)
