Don't get all angsty just yet. I mean as the actual Swordbearer. Has anyone done it?

I don't think u can down him fast enough in between his enrage and him dying. Just not enough burst that 32s have to down him faster once he enrages.

I think it is impossible to damage crota as a 31 with the sword. But I heard that someone did it with only one 32 in the team
-
First week of the patch, I killed Crota as a level 30 swordbearer. I killed him during my 5th sword (getting 4 hits most drops) so it took me like 35 hits or something. A 30 on normal is what a 31 would do on hard. I mean it's possible if you got 10 hits per sword and did 4 swords... It just seems silly. On the flip side, when we're 33+ Crota hard is going to be an even bigger joke.

Patdapimp did it i saw it in a stream

the main sword bearer died so I had to pick it up for the last couple hit on my 31 hunter

I don't know the exact numbers but will just say a 32 does 15000 per smash and a 31 does 12000 cause its somewhere above those numbers but not past 16000 or 13000. Anyway crota enrages after 214214 and divide that by 12000 you get 17.8 smashes to enrage him. Crota dies after 262817 so divide that by 12000 and you get 21.9 smashes to kill him. This info isnt 100% accurate because I don't have the exact damage of a 31, ran it today as sword and I know it was over 12000. After the third sword I could have killed him with the fourth but we were to slow killing orges to get a fourth. If I'm correct and its 21.9 hits....maybe 22 just to be safe then you need to hit him 8 times on the first two swords which puts you at 16 hits. If 17 does enrage him then you'll enrage him first hit of the first down and kill him on the second down of the third sword.

Edited by ShizRizGrizDiz: 3/2/2015 9:50:22 AMWell, theoretically, if a 32 kills a 32 Crota in 11 RTs and a 32 kills a 33 Crota in 18 RTs, then as a 31 against a 33 Crota, it should take 25 RTs. As we all know you can get 8 RTs a sword. So, 4 first kneel. 4 second kneel. Thats 1 sword. Then 4 more each kneel second sword, thats 16. Now, somehow survive ogres, and get the third sword. Now this part will definitely require a super. Do normal 4 hits first sword. Thats 20 total. Then do 3 RTs, super, and 1 more RT. If that doesnt kill him, then its not possible. Or, i guess to make easier, you could do the first sword 4, 3, super, 1. That way its just RTs on the next swords. Your overall RTs should be 24 + that Super (which a Super counts as 2-3 RTs). So, theoretically, that should kill him.

Edited by Red Motive: 3/2/2015 9:48:38 AMDid it with four 31s and two 32s last week. In about five runs. Edit: Not sure about Swordbearer.

Edited by corpcrusandwich: 3/2/2015 9:42:57 AMIt is probably possible if the first hit of the final sword is the one that enrages crota. Also I could totally see someone being able to get enough hits in on the first two swords since you can kill him in two swords as a 32. Not that I would want to try it with a 31 of course but I believe that it could work.

My team beat it a few times with 5 31s and a 32 swordbearer. We did try a 31 swordbearer for a bit. He could do damage just not enough. Nowhere near enough infact
-
If there were enough orbs to unleash back to back sword supers on enrage? It's possible.
-
Now that would be impressive
-
No you can't, you just simply don't put out enough damage to kill him before enrage.
-
Ive had two fantastic lvl31 sword bearers.
-
I took 4 31's through it about 3 or 4 weeks ago
-
It's the equivalent to a 30 running sword in Normal right? Only with the added challenge of having to kill Crota after he enrages...
-
highly doubt it
