What Eris has failed to tell us is that SmoggyPluto was in her fireteam when she ventured to defeat Crota. Smoggy made it back by battling hundreds of thralls with his Khvostov 7G-02 ... returning with barely his life. He had to go underground for a few years because Crota had placed a bounty on his head. For a short while this aligned the Vex and the Fallen ... and they became stronger together. However, the alliance is now showing its cracks and they are at war again. After Smoggy returned to the Tower he explained that Eris gave herself up and, to spare her life, made a deal that she would help the Hive infiltrate Earth and destroy The Last City. She would be made a queen. Apparently the fallen helped the Queen of the Reef take hold of her empire, and Crota would do the same for Eris. Eris is helping the Hive plan their attacks whilst pretending to despise them. The fact is, the only bounties she has are for hive that Crota wants dead, his political rivals. Her bounties are helping Crota become stronger. Eris is NOT to be trusted. Some of the bounties are Crota targets but effectively a trap for guardians. BEWARE! Whilst I am very suspicious of Xur, Smoggy says that Xur is an alien from a planet far away. His race are technological experts and can modify Earth weapons to make them more effective. Xur said the Earth weapons are unlike their own weapons, so it is difficult to modify them heavily (due to the shape of our body and mouths and lack of mental powered weapons) ... there is only so much you can do. But Smoggy is certain Xur is a good guy and for his own reasons (something to do with his home planet threatened) wants to see the end of the hive and other malevolent aliens. Xur's homeland wants to ally with Earth... and use Earth as an outpost that can warn his people of any encroaching darkness. PLEASE NOTE I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS IS TRUE... THE SWEEPING ROBOT IN THE TOWER TOLD ME THIS STORY.
