Did they make soloing the lamps harder with last patch?
Just started really trying to solo lamps, seems like I watch a tutorial on YouTube and see weight of darkness 10 max, with like ten thralls swarming. Then I go in and get weight 20, with like 30 thralls on me nonstop, what the crap?
Edit: general consensus seems to point to my warlock being the problem, still can't figure out why so many thralls though...maybe I'll try with my hunter.

Nope, run twice with my titan and warlock yesterday on hard, some glitch happened. Back out to Orbit and reload, that helps.

Nope still pretty easy and weight of darkness only goes to 10 no matter what.

I solo the abyss on my hunter all the time and haven't noticed any change (yes I have don't touch me gauntlets and actually run the lamps and don't need to fire a shot). I have been in groups where players have commented on 20 weight of darkness whilst I have not noticed it on my character. I can only suggest that this is a glitch.

Soloed the thralls 3 times this weekend and never saw a 20 weight but anything is possible in this game lol

Hard mode?... It's hard with my warlock i can do it with my titan and hunter with ease... Warlocks a little difficult at the ogre part (only in hard tho)

It's kinda random on my titan I only had like 6 thrall follow me but my hunter always seems to have an army of them follow him lol

It's easiest as a hunter, I don't mess with trying to solo it on my titan/warlock.

It is easy to solo the lamps, its just you need to find the technique that fits you and the character you are using. The hunters invisibility is the easiest way to solo lamps.

I watched vids of people soloing the Abyss, and they run past 5 or 6 thrall with a Warlock, getting swatted numerous times barely taking any damage. I don't know the how and why, but the game deals out different hands for different people, different consoles, etc. Some of the videos Ive watched would have been simple for anyone to complete, only having to deal with a few very slow thrall. My warlock with all perks set to speed and a +2 agility weapon equipped can't outrun thrall. Period. I've solo'd it with hunter and titan pretty easily. But can't do it with a warlock. For starters, the 2nd thrall that bumps me kills me. If a thrall gets within arms reach, all forward momentum stops. Any jump attempt is rewarded by bouncing backwards. I've tried a lot, but never gotten my warlock through solo. Hunter on 1st try, titan took 3 or 4 tries.

My warlock moves faster than my hunter. Both with agility to max. Icebreaker. That is the key. +2 agility, and it wrecks any thrall bunched up behind you. I just got a mida, I wanna see what it can do once it's upgraded.

It's possible to have weight of darkness 20, just die and retry or go to orbit and retry. It's not harder, Mate. Trust me.

I've had level 20 darkness before. Not sure why it happens but when I died it went back to 10

its happened to me before just had to wipe to get it to work properly again cant explain it but it only happened once

Edited by Geordie83: 3/1/2015 9:44:50 PMI ve had x20 weight of darkness before, I had it before hard mode was released so I thought it must have been a glitch or testing of hard. I thought hard was going to be x20 but as it's not it's simply a glitch. Go to orbit and start again that clears it

20 weight is a glitch. No clue why it happens. Though i keep seeing the Great Wall of thrall at the beginning and it seems a lot harder. Never use to have difficulty with it but i may need to use a hunter.
