Master Chief Vs SPARTAN IV?

So are Spartan V just as good as Spartan II's? Or is Master Chief a Spartan II would still kick there butts?

 •
Posted by: Flaming glacier I wouldn't say as effective. Jorge WAS a II. Six was the most skilled of them, and was as good as. The rest kind of faltered in comparison. Still though, I maintain that even if they could work as well as II's, they were still special cases, the best of the best, and they were in Spartan II armour. And even so, being as good as any Spartan II doesn't make you as good as Chief.
I very much agree so. It's plain logic that after the Human-Covenant War, what is left of humanity is in shambles. Rebuilding and reconstruction has put a falter on resources and income, leaving everything spread thin. We can look at Germany after the first World War and how their economy suffered, as well as the world's. I would imagine it being similar for the past 4-5 years. My point being, the UNSC would not invest large amounts of credits and resources into producing a limited number of super soldiers. Why would they need them anyways? A simple answer to this is, is to keep the peace among remaining and rebuilding colonies. Brutes and Covenant pirates still lurk the reaches of space. If wars broke out amongst colonies in times of peace, imagine what near extinction would do to the people of the Halo universe. They need Spartans to help keep the peace and still produce excellent records and successful missions/tasks appointed to them. So in a sense, the Spartans are finally doing the job they were intended for! As stated before, there are a wide variety of these Spartans, in a time a relative limited resources, so it is not hard to believe they are mass produced. I am confident that they are more affordable than Spartan-III's but still just as effective as Spartan-III's. As we know with mass production, they have their faults. Spartan-III's were not as strong or as fast as Spartan-II's and had limited armor compared to MJOLNIR. My questions are, however: 1. Why the sudden switch from children to already trained soldiers? (One does not simply volunteer to become a Spartan, unless their name rhymes with Margeant Swanson! [Fall of Reach, ORION Project] 2. What are the physical and technological limitations and shortcomings of Spartan-IV's compared to the Chief. 3. What role will they play in Chief's exploration of this new and dangerous planet? 4. What kind of new armor is Chief wearing? 5. How did he get it? 6. How does it compare to the Spartan-IV's? 7. What motivations would a Spartan-II have to join the Spartan-IV program and how does it compare to the Spartan-III program? (Halopedia) Hopefully Halo 4 can provide liable explanations that don't insult the fan's and/or even the average gamer's intelligence. I'm confident 343 Studios won't disappoint as they did an amazing job with the Terminals, establishing a spine and framework from which all Halo titles can be linked to the new Reclaimer trilogy and answers questions fans have pondered on since Halo's mysteries and secrets arose. I just wish the new characters didn't appear so similar to the point that if you'd put them in Crysis with a little color correction, they'd fit in. That's just my viewpoint. Halo 4 is Scary [Edited on 06.24.2012 12:01 AM PDT]
