Auto Rifles need a buff, ASAP!
You say 2.5, we get 30% (Abyss Defiant, Vanquisher VII)
You say 2.5, we get 14% (SUROS Regime)
You say 2.5 we get 9% (Hard Light)
Losing about 40 damage ISN'T 2.5%
Get your facts straight, Deej and stop catering to the players that ruin Destiny.
EDIT: I just learned that Atheon's Epilogue fully upgraded can't destroy an oracle in one clip now. Thanks, Deej for ruining the VoG.
EDIT 2: I didn't mean it ruined the VoG but it did ruin an amazing weapon. RIP Atheon's Epilogue.

1 ReplyRuined the suros. Halved the damage. Turned it into a smg, which it isnt. Ridiculous how they cant make such drastic changes to things in the game. Why not just leave it? And release new guns already, some new exotics so all the whining -blam!- who cant get kills in the crucible arent shitting their pants anymore. Some real -blam!-ing content instead of shitty little patches. I have a bunch of good guns for the crucible, but the suros was my fav for the whole game.

4 RepliesI think the current changes in auto rifles should stay. It was so sorely needed. Such high rates of fire in comparison to other primary weapons, coupled with the damage output. They where clearly broken. The ar had become to much of a crutch. I think primaries are more balanced now, then at launch. Sorry if the changes displeased you, but it levels it all out.

Hardly see anyone using suros anymore. But i see a lot of bad juju. Me included lol. I even think strangers rifle is one of the best non legendary primaries in pvp now.

I am not happy with the recent weapon change either but the auto rifle maby did need a range reduction I could shoot across the map with the suros and hit you but I am happy about the range modifications for the hand cannons

Vanquisher and Shadow Price are the pride of Auto Rifles. The ones we have now are total shit. My Garden hose can do more damage than them! Back during the development of Halo 2, Bungie paid the military a visit to see how they operated, and they were taught everything about tactics, strategics, and weaponry. What happened to all that knowledge!? The USP .45 from CoD MW 2 is stronger than the current Auto Rifles.

I would like to see auto rifles go back to what they originally were when the game launched. I miss being able to win gunfights with my old Shingen-C. It felt way more satisfying than these other guns I'm being forced to use to compete.

Deej is just a community organizer, he doesnt change the game. But yes they -blam!-ed up nerfing everything. Their data mining conclusions that led them to the auto rifle nerf is based on circumstantual evidence.

DeeJ did what to ruin auto rifles? Understand that Bungie does read these feedback posts, but when you don't take time to really understand what's up, your point won't be taken seriously. Ex: DeeJ is a community manager and not responsible for what you're describing. Just food for thought--not saying you have to be DeeJ's biggest fan, you can be as critical as you want. But how receptive do you think Bungie will be to your gripes if you "blame" the guy who isn't responsible for what you're describing?

1 ReplyI loved just about everything about the patch, but they dropped the ball on autorifles. With the pulse rifle buff, autos could've stayed the same and it would've been balanced. But the vex got #rekt from what I hear.

Perhaps the 2.5% nerf was to base DPS? I know BUNGIE said 'Base damage', but that is a vague statement. This would explain the disparity amongst weapons, and the damage they now deliver.
