I haven't been playing long, maybe a month, and I've obtained 16 legendary engram's in that time. All but two have become materials. I have actually gotten more legendary gear from rares than for legendaries. I'm not exactly saying to change this, but I am saying that in my noobishness I asked a veteran player if legendary engram's were material engram's with a chance for legendary. He laughed but I was serious. I'm getting really disheartened at this point and audibly sigh when I get a legendary engram. I am enjoying myself enough to keep playing, but suffice to say I don't want to try raids.
