Wanted to see how everyone feels about the handcannon changes in update 1.1.1.
I am honestly pretty displeased with the changes in update 1.1.1 concerning Handcannons.
Three options are given
1 is to switch handcannon stats to pre 1.1.1 update
2 is to keep the changes made in 1.1.1
And
3 is for those who only disagree with the initial accuracy change( which is just confusing)
4. Is other for well other
Have fun and discuss
keep it decent if you will
Thanks for reading
EDIT
My only real complaint is initial accuracy

I must have been using hand cannons as designed before patch because they play exactly the same for me.
-
I'm still capping bots across the map with rare handcannons. Honestly they don't feel like they were even touched to me.
-
The hand guns needed the nerf there not supposed to be sniper rifle
-
While it hurts to reduce the awesome of Handcannons a bit, I'd say it's pretty justified. They're brought in line a bit, and I've gotta say that I've been loving scout rifle since the patch. They're still awesome, you just can't snipe with them anymore.
-
I thought they have broken hand cannons, but they haven't. You have to aim better now, and it's really hard to snipe with them, but that's it, nothing really terrible.
-
Its not that noticeable. Hawkmoon still wrecks.
-
They needed a range nerf; they were better than Scout rifles at range. They're still extremely powerful weapons.
-
the fools at bungie have terabits of data on this game but can not ever get ANYTHING correct this game is ass backwards in every respect no wonder its loosing players at an epic rate
-
Aww can't snipe with hand cannons. Booo:(
-
Just don't understand the accuracy change. Cramping my style. Long range shots yes. But making the gun clunky punishes the skilled user. Now I get peppered by spot on auto fire while I fumble for a shot. I love hand cannons even the name states power. Come on mang!

Fatebringer is still a beast
-
Anybody?
-
I haven't really noticed the change so meh

Edited by TDB REAPER: 2/26/2015 7:40:48 PMLove it when people say pistols aren't snipers in real life, and mean while Jerry Miculek is shooting balloons at 1000 yards with a S&W 9mm. Nerf real life it's OP
-
I'm fine with it
-
Thorn is still a sniper
-
I don't even notice and I use handcannons often. Must have only affected thorn high range cheesers
-
Hand cannons should never be snipers. I was using word of crota last night to finish thorn bounty and I could still hit with it at what I would consider scout rifle range, but not as reliably. Personally I think they need more of an accuracy fall off at extended range. Then again I think shotguns and fusion rifles should have equal range. Both are 1hk and fusion rifle has triple shotgun range if not more.
-
My legendary Hand Cannon performs the same as before. No change noticed. I have noticed a change to Sniper Rifles, however, which is sneaky because they didn't say that they were going to Nerf Sniper Rifles but clearly something is wrong with them.

Is the initial accuracy the first bullet in the chamber or the first time you hit someone? If I shoot the first shot off and initiate a fight with the second round in the clip, does it avoid this? Just wondering if anyone's tried it.
-
I never saw people sniping cross map with hand cannons pre patch. I see people using the sh*it out of thorns send it perk now though. So if anything the patch did the opposite of its intended goal?
-
If I didn't know the patch came, I wouldn't have even noticed a difference at all.

The initial accuracy sucks. I've never been one to snipe with hawkmoon, but it seems the initial accuracy is a nerf at all ranges. I usually get in the fray, and it's really difficult now 'cause you end up missing the first shot, or hitting a body shot, and it throws out the time it takes to kill. I have a video of post patch hawkmoon in crucible vs pre patch, and you can see when watching old vids, it was snapping to the head like a boss. Now the first bullet, 60% of the time, goes somewhere else. Even on that close quarters venus map trying to fight or B, you can't shoot from the flag to the hallway, well you can, but you end up missing the first shot.. and by extension, the gunfight.. You really notice the difference :( I'll give the last word a few days of trying, cause you need to be close for that anyway, but no chance that'll be my control weapon. Looks like skirmish / rumble are the only playlists I'll enjoy. They should have just nerfed the range, I'd have been happy with a 60-70% drop of at long range, cause they shouldn't be used like that. Now it's just annoying to win a gunfight with 2 or more people shooting at you close/mid range cause of the stray bullets. It's not going to change now anyway, if TLW is crap now, I'll be moving onto another game :(

I'm glad that they changed the range. Being shot by a Thorn in the head when the Guardian using it is a dot on my screen (and I have a large TV) was really frustrating. But after the patch I notice the considerable amount of range and reach of the rounds. Thorn is amazing on maps like Asylum and that other map with the rotating center. But I wouldn't use them for long range anymore. *i got red death for that* #reddeathisthenewsuros

Edited by Judge of Java: 2/26/2015 7:35:50 PMI didn't notice any difference. I don't try to snipe with my hand cannon from across the map. That's why I have a sniper rifle.
