I don't understand what is all this complaining about honestly.. The pulse rifle buff is actually a good thing, now there's another weapon type that we can use! Before they were useless. The weapons are now balanced the way they should be, the ones who disagree are most likely pvp players who own a SUROS. Yes, now you won't kill a guardian as fast as you did 3 days ago... but it's still an extremely strong weapon.
This is how the weapons work now (and how they should've worked since the beginning):
* Auto Rifles have the highest rate of fire so they cause the least amount of damage. (It's called BALANCE)
* Pulse Rifles use to cause the least amount of damage but due to semi-low rate of fire now do just a bit more (as they should)
* Scout Rifles have not been changed, still cause more damage then both auto and pulse Rifles due to low rate of fire. (Even the ones with the auto perk have a low rate of fire)
* Hand cannons still cause the MOST amount if damage due to low rate of fire. But these weapons are so strong that even with the low rate of fire, they're still a little op. For the sake of balance they lowered the distance damage.
It seems to me that now Destiny is actually balanced. Yes, I have tried all of these weapons just yesterday after the update, with maxed out weapons of each weapon type. I do not mean any disrespect to SUROS users btw, honestly I wish I had one. Lol.

I don't mind about Suros, but my Hard Light was already requiring a good amount of skill, now it's infuriating. You know when you do something for months, your eyes and mind KNOW that you should have gotten that hit, but somehow it missed? Hate it. Hand cannon missed from a distance I knew I would have gotten. Hard Light gets me killed. Most maps are not really made for scout rifles, too small, so they didn't need to change anything, almost no one uses them. I applaud the pulse riffle buff, but the auto rifle nerf was so bad that instead of getting an additional good weapon archetype in the crucible, everyone shifted from one to the other. Yesterday I only got killed by pulse rifles, not one auto rifle. They didn't add options, just changed the method, keeping the number the same.

I know what you mean. :)
-
Didnt bother to read this biased pos post. You and ur ilk ruined everything with ur nerfing cries.
-
Ok when I go to view my weapons to change them in a mission I'm getting shot at while waiting for it to load but everything else seems ok
-
-blam!- yourself. Didn't read your post but I'm sure you're a twat. Leave my -blam!-ing game alone
-
Have you even used any weapons in PvE? How can you say anyone bitching about it must be PvP? PvP is loving it but keep in mind it's the same PvP group of people that have bitched about every single class super and weapon in the game, so yes they will always bitch about the next popular weapon! If everyone was running around with nechroshit they would bitch about that! The real players that have a problem with the update, and rightfully so.... Are the dedicated PvE players! I dumped a full mag from atheons epilogue into an oracle and it didn't kill it!!! But you don't see a problem with this??? The game is now officially broken for PvE players! And why? We didn't ask for the nerfs, PvP did! Why -blam!- up the PvE part of the game because you want to balance weapons for PvP? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard of or seen a game do! Are all you people high? If you think this was good then I want some of what your on!
-
Have the least amount of damage, yeah sure, that balance Btw quoting you ar balance
-
Haven't used a suros for anything serious in months. Did like occasionally using something besides a scout rifle in PvE and really liked my auto rifles. In PvE weapon balance was almost perfect. All we needed was the pulse rifle buff. But no can't leave well enough alone. Have to screw PvE balance for PvP instead of balance separately.
-
No, the majority of people complaining aren't pvp Suros users. They're players who mostly play pve and are sick and tired of the crucible crybabies ruining or guns.
-
The -blam!-ing Stranger's Rifle does more damage than Suros in PvP. K den.
-
Ive been in the military for 7 years and own mulitple weapons.....our rifle range maxes at 500 yards....so tell me again how auto rifles dont have range? People who have never shot a gun in thier lives are making changes to weapons they don't truly understand.....hey Bungie take some of that 500 million and go to a rifle range one day
-
I could give a shit if PvP is more balanced now. It still sucks regardless, they can run around jerking off and shooting each other with that for all I care. My guns are less effective now in PvE and I don't see any of the hoards of enemies in a Raid getting nerfed. Fück each and every one of you PvP nerf herding twat waffles.
-
I wont touch an autorifle anyway or fusion lol Besides that very happy with the changes including vault exange and drop down menu to see youre ranks is really nice!
-
The suros is so much worse now. I can't compete with it and I'm having a hard time letting go, feels like I just got dumped by a long time girlfriend
-
Its wierd it feels more than a 2.5 nerf to assault rifles. Other than that im happy with the update.
-
My only hatred for the patch is the new shotgun tactic of unloading a fully automatic shotgun hoping for a kill. Other than that pvp is now balanced and honestly i dont see any main difference in pve but everyone seems up in as about it

Edited by xGHOSTxRR: 2/27/2015 3:27:30 AMSo what if bungie's "weapon balance" update isn't as accurate for some of you...Destiny (imo) is probably one of the most prestigious games I've ever played. this game feels like it's focused more on individual skill & style. Iit's completely different from your standard "Call of duty" style. So anyone who is complaining like little girls should chill out for a little & let bungie do, what they gotta do. Good to see there's some positive activity.
-
I agree. Although I don't like that my auto rifle was nerfed, it was for the greater good.
-
This. The PvP in this game is now respectable. People who will like this update include good players and great players, and people who know what a balanced FPS is. People who won like this update include those who are bad players in general, as well as people who can't aim very well.
-
I used suros in pvp and it felt fine, its probably just the people who TRIED to noticed to nerf
-
For a change u love this patch. They should have just buffed pulse rifles and need auto and hand cannons only on pvp.

I'm still doing just fine with both suros (although its range has been lowered it just takes a bit of adjusting to firing it from afar now) and hawkmoon, and now I can bring juju and red death along.

Edited by AyyLmao: 2/27/2015 12:48:31 AMPvP whiners are ruining the PvE side of the game. Sooner or later I'm going to be using my nerf guns to take down Crota.
-
lol all i can say is bullshite this will not be " the great balance finally achieved" bungie will continue to nerf stuff till its as useless as a stick. and there will be no diffrence between a hand gun and a sniper rifle and everything in between. it will jist be a gun .. if ya got one then u can play. sad
-
The only people that care about "balance" are PVP cry babies who cant stand getting killed by someone better so they blame the gun instead of their weak skills or slow reaction time. PVE players want to be as powerful as possible! Thats the point of leveling and grinding for better gear; to out match the enemies. Why do I want to be "balanced" with the archon priest or sekrion? I want to demolish them to pieces in as few shots as possible! You want balance? Dont level your guardian past level 4 and stay in The Steppes on earth. All the damn PVP whiners are ruining this game for everyone else. I wish Bungie would stop nerfing PVE to sooth the butthurt of the PVP bitches.
