In a recent article by Forbes Magazine there was a mention about matchmaking for Raids. I believe destiny is going to stand their ground on keeping this from happening. But imagine the consequences to the normal raid players. A raid team is an organized and well chosen group of people brought together to finish a hard task. If matchmaking were brought into the picture, you would get low level, unexperienced people who would only bogg the team down. Nothing is more annoying than "dead weight." If someone can't make the way to the forums to assemble a team themselves(which is easy), they probably aren't ready for the raid in the first place. All things go into account such as levels, weapons, types of characters. Matchmaking just isn't the right path. Hopefully destiny will stick to their ways on this one.

There will be no Raid Matchmaking. Bungie already made a Statement
-
In a recent article by Forbes Magazine
Unless a) they sourced their info from a reliable source and/or 2) Bungie confirms it here (on b.net, not necessarily this post), it is nothing more than speculation.
-
Why is Forbes reporting on this??
-
If it's optional idc if it's mandatory.. hell no!
-
Don't see the problem with making it OPTIONAL, it wouldn't effect people that didn't want to use it.
-
A feature that's optional will please both sides
-
things that would need to be sorted before raid matchmaking Optional so if someone disconnects you can wait for him to come back replace him with another friend instead of a random or for those who want to run the raid deliberately with under 6 players for a challenge Forced fireteam chat no one in their own chat/party chat, everyone is automatically unmuted if you dont want to hear people you shouldn't be in a raid (although allow a mute option in roster for certain players incase they are verbally abusive) Mic preference either the ability to only search for people with mics or only allowed into matchmaking if you have a mic plugged in I reckon if those 3 things are implemented then if would work just fine and get more people to play
-
What does it matter? If you have a raid team you dont have to worry about it. It would be for players who dont have anyone to play with.
-
You can set specific search rules maybe and get only experienced players.
-
Yeah I agree this should never happen, only the kids who don't know how to do the raid want matchmaking
-
They should allow matchmaking for 32's ONLY.
-
I've said all along the way to do it is to have it opt in able same with weekly and nightfall.
-
Well orginized?pfft yeah if you have aal your friwnds and clan mates doing it.but what about the half of us who cant find others or who have friends who dont play the game anymore.or is aleays bagging people at the tower or here for a chance at the raids?

Edited by Fostersteele: 2/25/2015 8:14:43 PMHow does Raid Matchmaking affect anyone who already has a Raid team they play with on a consistent basis? Hey here's a thought....If they implement Raid matchmaking...DON'T USE IT....Problem solved....
-
The raids are broken anyway who cares
-
Relax
-
If they make raiding just like the ROC strike then guess what?.......More Hours Logged on per Player because a dis organized team will take hours to complete the raid and hours...and then they won't beat it so they try again and again-win win for BungIE,"first they exclude solo players(humans always want what they can't have) then months go by and there are more and more clans forming. Now they open up the raid to everybody and their computer data base is going to have a flood of gamers in this rotation...... BungIE 42-0 vs its players,
-
and its a huge disadvantage to us who prefer solo.
-
Many Raid teams are randoms who either use this site or destiny tracker. There is no reason why the composition of these teams would be any different from one from matchmaking. I doubt there are many people with 6 real life friends on PSN all with Destiny and all ready to raid at the same time.
-
Optional matchmaking for raids would be good. I'd like to hop in to normal VoG or normal CE runs with randoms at my discretion. I don't want to be forced in to it, however. Options are always good.
-
Utter horse droppings!!
-
So, matchmaking would disband your team when launching the raid and force you to work with randoms? Wait, it wouldn't? Then, shut up.
-
Edited by Hells Assailent: 2/25/2015 8:06:22 PMI hope they do bring in matchmaking that lets people that aren't experienced find groups. They can't get experienced at doing the raid if the "skilled" and "elite" players keep shutting them out. Just remember we all didn't know how to do the raid parts at a point in time ourselves. Hate people that are so bad at the game they think they're 'experienced" but then only want "experienced" players for the raid groups. You clearly aren't :experienced" enough if you can't help any of the new players at all. Only reason I don't want matchmaking for raids is because of all the AFK troll kids.
-
Then, with the carefully selected people, invite them and just enjoy it. Dumbass
-
I'm pretty sure bungie has anounced that they will never make matchmaking for raids so should be no worries... although it seems like honesty isn't a strong point with bungie and activision so who knows what will happen
-
If they bring it in (which they won't) solo/small teams would get screwed. I run CE every week with 1 or 2 people and only get a team for Crota, with matchmaking it would find a team for me if I tried running it with 3 ppl.
