Epic Mars Raid?
So I was just wondering what a cool raid would be and I came up with this...
Mission: take out the fuel cells on each of the three smaller mountains that supply the world cannon built into the largest mountain, Olympus Mons
Enemy: Cabal
You and your fireteam spawn in. You have just shuttled to the drop location at the base of the first (right most) mountain. There is heavy resistance. You must battle past swarms of enemies to get to the elevator, which your ghost must then hack to allow you to make your way to the summit. Once hacked you will shoot up to the top of the mountain and be met with a large amount of enemies and a minor boss. (Either a large Psion or a large cabal). Now your shuttle ship will land on the summit once all enemies are destroyed and it will take you to the next mountain. Again you will start at the foot of the mountain and again you will need to battle enemies, by this time they are ready for you. They have shutdown all power to everything except the fuel cell, so there is no getting up the elevator this time. You must travel your way through the complex maze up the mountain, continuously fighting through enemies. Right before you reach the second summit there will be a room that the cabal were manufacturing highly explosive materials in. You will arm the explosives and have 40 seconds to run out of a door to the outside of the mountain and ride your sparrows down the steep mountain, but beware there are perilous jumps and dangerous obstacles. If your fireteam doesn't make it in time you will die when the mountain explodes.
Once you make it you will board your shuttle ship and fly to the 3rd mountain. This time the cabal are even more prepared: they have imploded the entrance and set up guards around the perimeter of the entire mountain. You must now trek up the mountain to reach the summit and destroy the final fuel cell.
Now the world cannon of Olympus mons is ready to be destroyed. This time when the shuttle picks you up to take you to the final mountain you will be chased by cabal fighter ships trying to destroy you. You must mount the turrets on the left, right, and back of the ship and defend yourself.
Finally you have made it to Olympus mons and it is time to take out the world cannon.
This time your ship will take you into the stratosphere and you will air drop on top of the mountain. The gun will be facing up through the mountain. Around it there will be a large and wide platform with a huge robotic monster pacing around. You cannot kill this monster. What you must do is go to 4 control rooms that your ghost must hack and you must defend it while it tries to disable the each system. After you disable one system it will cause a 2-3 minute disabling of the monsters invulnerability in which you can now attack it. You must do this for all 4 control rooms. The final control room will disable the monsters invulnerability and allow you to kill it from there. Once done you can disable the world cannon and finish the raid.
If this sounds like fun bump, you can offer your own ideas to add and I will quote the ones I like, or the most popular responses, to the end of this post.
Edit: I also thought it might be cool to see one of the cabal ultras drop their weapons (a grenade launcher or a minigun) and the players be able to pick it up like a relic and use it temporarily.

1 ReplyI agree but something u could do to make it harder is that the fire team is split in half and 3 guardians go to the first mountain while 3 go to the next and then u all team up at the third mountain but it is much harder then than the other two.
