Idea for matchmaking/personalized cooperative play for the raids
In every location there’s roster indicating those who are presently connected in that virtual section.
Imagine entering a location (related to the raid) and within that virtual section (try imagining Neo from The Matrix in the white virtual reality simulation) you can walk around, choose a limited number of icons/items from a “vendor" which describes best what you hope to accomplish in terms of the raid (i.e. an item with a description indicating the raid on an intermediate level of difficulty with people who has level 28-30 characters). There would be 3 items to chose from: beginner (with a subtitle like “don’t worry about it”) intermediate (“ok let’s go") and experienced (“no time to waste, let’s do it”)
Every time you choose an item (i.e. Black Wax Idol) there would be a countdown (i.e. 5 or 10 mins) and within that time frame another player enters the virtual section, sees you (and your level for course), sees the item you selected, and decides whether or not to join you in your fireteam for the raid.
This is an idea in progress, feel free to pitch in along with your ideas and/or constructive criticism.
Or maybe a simple chatroom like you find in typical MMOs would be nice.
