RNG manipulated.

For those of you who back up RNG. Ever thought why you're getting so many NLB's or Dragons breath? Rng would not let this happen by default unless bungie added a percentage rate for something to drop in the RNG algorithm. This includes Xur. I'm not saying it's complete bull shit but anything that manipulates an outcome is not true RNG. I have no concrete proof other than every other payer i encounter complaining about being rewarded a 6th NLB or Dragons breath. This is a huge red flag. People asked why in the world was NLB even made. It's simple. Ever heard of a filler? Since progress of the public was miscalculated, fillers were released into the wild. The NO LAND BEYOND is the most obvious filler. Since players are hitting a wall having everything or missing 1 or 2 exotics, they get the fillers over and over Again. You call that RNG? Someone had to get something for raids or nightfalls right? I'm not mad and just wanted to raise awareness. understanding why and how things are made gives you the bigger picture and prevents butthurt. Once Destiny is filled with 20 raids, 100 strikes and over 1000 exotics... never mind. You will be on the 4th Destiny by then.

  •
anything that manipulates an outcome is not true RNG.
Untrue. Let's say there are three possible drops- green, blue, and purple. Purple is the most rare and blue the middle, with green the most common. Then we roll a dice. Now, the system generates a random number. We will say it goes 1-9. By what you just said, this system is not RNG unless each of the three possible drops has an equal chance- meaning each has three numbers. Green being 1-3, blue 4-6, purple 7-9. But as we all know, that isn't how it works. The results are actually weighted. So we can say green is 1-5, blue is 6-8, and purple is 9. So again the system rolls. It rolls a 4, randomly. RNG. So what does this show? This shows that you are confusing results of a roll with the roll itself. Things such as drops from enemies and Xur are in fact RNG, but all drops are not equal. I hope that cleared it up for you.

  • I thought people figured out a while back that everything was weighted differently? Xur sells stuff randomly, but it's a 9/10 chance for NLB and a 1/10 for ghorn. Obviously made up numbers but that's how they do it randomly so that all the good stuff doesn't get sold.

  • I've never even seen a NLB drop in any game

    • First mistake - assuming that people hate dragons breath or NLB for that matter. Second mistake - bitching about random when you obviously don't know the definition of random. And like Green Soldier indicated to you....items are obviously weighted.
