Crucible Servers

why are they so laggy? It can not be possible that 10/12 have a bad internet provider or problems with their connection! or is your Routing so F*cked that american and European play together at Korean servers?! sometimes it's just frustrating getting killed 3 seconds after you bashed a 10 hp enemy, while he just jumped up. or the "i killed you, you killed me" shitty moments, because of laggy enemy or server. additional the "AROUND THE CORNER FUSIONS RIFLE / SHOTGUN" kills... you die, see the "3rd person" view and THEN he runs around the corner and back again, just some seconds to late... and what's happening to the "bad connection" reports? storing in a Database and getting automatically deleted after some hours because of no storage? theoretically, if it's used often, your servers should break down alone of the mass of reports... Just give this topic an official statement, because i've read many, many posts about this problem, not just in your Forum.

  • I have never benefited from lag in my life so I don't know how these people do it. I'd say it's more of a lagswitch scenario which is why people with crap connection tend to do the best.

  • It is totally laggy and erratic. If I want low latency PvP I play Titan Fall - where I can select the Server I connect to and I can use a DMR type precision weapon to get head shots repeatedly. Bungie still has not stated whether Crucible is P2P (one player is host) or if it's Server hosted. I had Crucible games where I had a K:D of 0.9 in one game, the next game it was 7.3 (22 kills 3 deaths I was death incarnate) and the next game my K:D was 0.3 and I could not kill anyone. So I suspect it's P2P and in my death incarnate game I was host. And most of the time, you will see the people with the crappiest red bar connection getting highest K:D and teleporting across the map - unkillable. That's due to crappy "network compensating" code which favours people with a bad connection over those of us with low latency connections. Why not call a spade a spade and if your connection sucks - then you die a lot instead of us whom have good connections being screwed over.

  • They won't do sh*t. They milked us properly and now they are working on Destiny 2. How the hell can they work on a sequel if the first title doesn't work? My fabulous experience: Started the game, played for a day-not a single DC or error code. Started the game next day-"bee";"centipede".... After 3 months I still can't finish a crucible match. The ping meter is always green, other games work perfectly even when my network is loaded with downloads and another PC connected by WiFi.
