So reset Tuesday hits and a large number of Destiny's player base flock back to orbit in hopes of receiving that one exotic/legendary item they've been battling for, all under the worry RNG will do it's usual thing! "Have a weighted item you already have?"
With high play time, I guess many of us have come to expect disappointment, but the fun of playing with friends still holds it's merits..so still we grind.
There is one possibility a few friends an I discussed while getting dups this reset that could help remedy this and that would be a one off re-roll option once your loot has dropped.
Say you finally fight the splash damage that hits through walls, floor the almighty nexus for your 100th time and RNG gives you a reward that you didn't want...there is your single opportunity to hit a 're-roll' option to give you a second chance at getting something useful.
While many run three characters, there are obviously more casual players that only have time to utilise one character through their destiny experience and I'd imagine it can be just as devastating to receive that 'No Land Beyond' for the third time, that still doesn't give you the drive to use the weapon.
Personally I'd love the option, even if it replaced an Exotic with a legendary. With a wider spread of Legendary weapons with specific perks the vanguard and crucible vendors don't offer. Some are crossing their fingers for a drop version and this would broaden all of our chances, While still leaving a 50/50 chance it could go the other way and you could end up worse off, so it's still a game of chance.
The same could go for the Raid Reward System.
Today I bagged 3 shards from a normal completion, and a helmet and a few energy from a hard completion that didn't come free of raid bugs. Epic! Sword breaker will have to wait I guess.
::Play nightfall, beat nightfall, get 5th exotic duplicate, re-roll, get "enter your legendary of choice here" with great perks..Win::
I'm curious if people see sense with this idea.
