Even in POS econoboxes like a Camry you can take most turns at double the advised speed limit if you have one iota of common sense. I spent my high school years at the track and street racing - none of my friends who did so died. The people that died were the people who didn't. Personally, I think if everyone was mandated to do some track time, they might not make stupid mistakes like over correcting if they run off a road and hitting a tree.
