Again I watch as the Light battles the Dark. A Guardian pits himself alone against the chaotic whims of time and the Mind that seeks to control it. To bend it. To become one with it. As inexorably connected as life is to death. I wonder, does he know the futility of the mission he's undertaken? Does he know what fate lies ahead? Of course not. How could he? He has not seen the things that I have. He's not watched the same events unfold countless times to the same end. Still, this one seems different. I can't say how, but something is out of place. A wrinkle in the story. What power could this one hold that the others did not? I must observe him with a bit more diligence than I have exhibited before. I can feel his Light. It's stronger than any I have ever felt. Burning as bright as the Light of a thousand suns. What force drives this man to fight with such mindless courage and such immovable fortitude? His defense of the Confluxes is impressive. His companion guides his line of fire flawlessly from one enemy to the next, as if the Ghost were the weapon itself. He has another with him. Though I know not this Little Light's purpose. Whatever the reason is for his presence I must find the answer. Everything has changed. For the first time I cannot see where the path ahead leads.
