The warlock supers lack in two key areas compared to those of their titan and hunter conterparts.
First off, the Voidwalker Nova bomb is the only super that can hurt its user. No super should be self damaging, especially one that is a giant explosion you can only trow a limited distance from your body. All other supers can be used at a close range risk free, nova bomb should be no different.
Secondly, all other supers give a passive invulnerability while being used, however for sunsinger, you have to use a perk for it and are still plagued by the long animation of casting your super. Countless times I have been faced with another player supering as I attack them with a heavy weapon or ability, that in any non-supering instance would kill them, but they instead survive and usually kill me all while taking no damage whatsoever.
To the haters and trolls, I am not a whining cry baby, I use all three classes and win and lose my fair share of matches. Just pointing out an inbalance for discussion, and I am biased towards my warlock.
Edit: Okay gunslingers, I hear your complaint of not having extra resistance while supered. I just never noticed before because I either am instakilled by golden gun as I pull my trigger or use all my shots on my hunter super fast. Thanks for all the conments guys, keep it up!

Radiance gives damage resistance even without the perk, just not as much. But nova bomb definitely should definitely not kill its user. We do get damage resistance with nova bomb if we use the dire skull exotic helm though. Caught a few fist of panic titans off guard with that xD
-
Warlock is not the worst ones with the supers. The Hunter in the other hand is super weak sauce.
-
Nova Bomb is what, now?
-
Wheres #satire?
-
Hang on...a super that can make you nearly invincible and give you unlimited insta kill sticky grenades is under powered? lol got it
-
I've killed myself with the golden gun before, so nova bomb isn't the only one that can hurt the user.

This video will change your mind... http://youtu.be/Br4MY2I7dZY Show me another class do this

Literally the dumbest post I've ever taken the time to read. #warlockmasterrace
-
each class has a negative and a positive. Nova Bomb has decent range, and with the lance perk its a really good sniping missile. With radiance you can get extremely tough shields with radiant skin. No one ever said you had to use fire-born. Now, the other class pros and cons for proof each class is balanced. Hunter- Marksmen: pro: ranged super, can be explosive Con:Can be killed mid super, miss shots, only 3 shots BladeDancer: Pro: ohk melee, 50% Damage reduction. cons: can be killed mid super TItan: Striker: Large aoe super, can be used for temporary flight(Death from above) cons: have to be close for usage, somewhat lengthy animation after use(Compared to other supers) Defender: Pros: Unbreakable bubble(barring supers) gives buffs to teammates cons: No attacking ability whats so ever

Yea they're stupid too https://account.xbox.com/en-us/gameclip/6bf85e1f-a640-4a08-bf50-fbe9cf28d3be?gamerTag=Buanno&scid=37770100-f9ae-4b80-9dad-7c1d0ec14469

Lolol
-
Nova bomb can become a long range super if you equip spear
-
1 nova bomb is a mid range super if anything the self damage isn't high enough to enforce this better. The entire warlock class is more suited around mid range encounters favoring heavy grenade use with melee attacks designed to keep distance or allow it to be regained. 2 all supers have some degree of damage resistance. Gunslinger, sunsinger, and defender have options that provide the least. Sunsinger and defender also have options that give them the most.
-
Warlock supers a fine. I just dislike when I get a fast paced streak going and I nova bomb a group and then hit the top of a door. Because you know, locks they fancy. We have to float up in the air before we toss out our ass smashing super. But look, we jumped to high and it hits the top of the door....

Because coming back to life is underpowered
-
Edited by iLuvyy: 2/15/2015 8:42:43 PMHunters' supers are underpowered bro
-
I will admit, a self-casting nova bomb damaging me can be a pet peeve.
-
Nova bomb only goes short distance? Use lance or somethin
-
You're like those nerds that complain about the Hunter supers being underpowered. There's a reason why you don't 'panic super' and why a rip is given when you choose Nova Bomb to 'be precise.'
-
The nova bomb causing self harm is annoying, I think that was a bad idea, It puts me off using it, I suppose I could use lance but I prefer vortex. nova bombs would of been awesome for the first stage of CE, but the chances of hitting a close by thrall is too high, so stick to boring self rez.
-
Lol only warlocks truely know the pain of supering a doorjam..
-
Radiance actually gives natural damage resistance even without the perk. And with Sunsingers, even if you think you're super isn't so great, you still have one of, if not, the best subclass for pvp.
-
Yeah but other abilities make up for it like the 5 ft melee lol
-
At least the can get an overshield during their super. Oh and you you get a flame shield just for melee damage? Not a kill but damage? So underpowered
-
I'll trade you FoH for Nova.
-
Sunsingers get a dam buff when using firebourn
