NOTE: If this thread is moved to the improper forum, it will simply be reposted.
We've all had this happen to us: we set up a raid, gather 32s, only to have one of them be a complete moron because he hasn't played Destiny for a while. This kind of crap needs to be prevented. That's why I say that in order to encourage players to practice by playing Destiny, they should be deranked by 2 levels after 72 hours of inactivity. This means if they are wearing light armor, it will be destroyed. By having such a system, players will log in and play the game so that they don't lose their levels, therefore they will not screw raiders over.
Now I know what some of you may say: "what's to prevent them from logging into Destiny and shutting it off after they've logged in?". Logging in will not be enough. They will have to do at least one daily heroic mission and one strike. This will ensure that they keep up their practice.

Any gear in the vault that can add up to 32 or whatever level you are at will automatically be taken away. The lore behind this: The guardians get taxed by the tower if they don't pay their dues by helping the Traveler.

Good point. This system would also remove light armor from the inventories of any and all characters you may have created.
