getting FO:NV GOTY, FO3 GOTY, and Skyrim legendary editions.
what are some mods you'd recommend for each game?
without manually editing the .ini files, how do you install mods with steam?
i haven't modded since the sims was a thing...before the newfangled steam.

Grab the unofficial patches that fix a lot of the bugs. Past that, anything high rated on Nexus/sounds interesting to you is worth it.
-
Most of the top rated on nexusmods are well deserved, just go through the lists and get the mods you like.

Oh sweet jesus. There is a LOT of techobabble in this thread.

Edited by Spooter: 2/25/2015 2:17:38 AMI've got about a hundred mods running on New Vegas, buddy. The biggies you'll have to have are: - NMC's TP - Project Nevada - One HUD - Millenia's weapon retextures - a bug-fixer or two depending on their compatibility (to your own discretion, as there's many) - a facial retexture mod (again, quite a few) - 4GB New Vegas Maybe get one of the body mods, as some of the hi-res clothing mods require that you have them - otherwise I'd recommend not trying to insert fetishes into you games. There's a slew of quest mods, but for a better visual experience and a slightly improved gameplay experience? That's what I've got.

SkyUI comes to mind. A lot of mods rely on the MCM that comes with it. You'll also wanna pick up the skse. There are plenty of weapon and armour mods. If you play as female you'll want to pick up a body mod. There isn't much armour for the default female body. Try looking on YouTube for mod review videos. I recommend Mmoxreview. People are still making mods today, so you have a few years worth of videos and mods to choose from. And these were all for Skyrim btw.

You need help with modding or want mods? I don't play those but I can probably help.
