Gjallarhorn -- I hate you.
I must add, after hundreds of hours of game play, I have NOT gotten this sought after rocket launcher. You all know it as the “Gjallarhorn.” Well, it’s my most sought after weapon, too. I’ve done dozens of raids, looted tons of chests, and completed too many to count nightfalls on 3 different characters and I still haven’t gotten one.
I really wish XUR would sell the damn thing already. Is this confirmed that, the gun has been taken out of his inventory? I’ve just read swirling rumors on various sites that it has been, and it hasn’t been. I could honestly make the case that, an icebreaker (sold today actually) is quite a powerful exotic, too. One of the best snipers in the game (aside from the blackhammer I got).
I honestly wish I had one, which is all. I wish Xur would sell it, and BUNGIE won’t nerf the hell out of it after. It’s a great rocket launcher. After a 5 hour Crota Hard Raid last week; success came with a player on our team that had a Gjallarhorn. We were able to take out the sword bearer easily, which made the game smoother. Imagine if we had a couple or more people with one. I don’t know, I am mostly upset, and so are the friends I play with. We all grind and play daily; doing raids and or nightfalls and nothing.
Case in point, I wish it was more obtainable. Opinions of other guardians are welcomed, and arguments are probably inevitable. However, it’s a weapon I really desire, and I really wish I had it. Anyone else with this problem, too?

You can officially say you have good rng luck when you've gotten vex,ice, or ghorn from luck.I got ice breaker from the crota first chest right before you couldnt get exotic from the first chest and xur sold it the next weekend now no one believes me but I know its a fact weather people believe me or not.

Ive done a lot of raids more nightfalls hundreds of hrs finally got it on my 2nd nightfall yesterday I will never say i earned it, if i hadnt gotten lucky last night id still be a 'scrub' in some pompous guardians eyes

As usual ppl who have the heavy say that it isn't nothing much, as it's just a heavy not the best there is. This comment is always used by someone who tried it got use to it and thought it's nothing special. When i first got Truth i thought it was amazing, now it's just a heavy that can track targets. If the game decided not to roll all the items you wanted and give you useless exotics every time even you will get angry at it. Its part of human nature. Just that everyone has different breaking points in playing till one day they start it up and decide its time to call it quits on this. Ps. If that heavy was a really rare drop that'll be fine, but always seeing ppl around get it besides you is very frustrating.

3 RepliesI don't know why everyone wants Ghorn so bad. I'm not saying it's a bad gun but it isn't just amazing compared to any other trading rockets. Sure it takes down bosses quick but even then a maxed icebreaker excels imo. So don't get so hyped about this gun. It's good but not to die for

I haven't played the game as much as you, but I've accumulated about 400 hours among my 3 level 31/32 characters, I've done both raids numerous times, started playing since November last year and after seeing many of my friends getting Ice Breaker over and over I was able to finally get it myself a couple of weeks ago...BUYING IT FROM XUR...only to get it twice in drops and loot after a raid and a nightfall. I've carried the ignorance, noobness and lack of skill of other players, my friends and clan brothers, and supported them through raids and nightfalls, dailys and weeklys only to see them being blessed with exotics I've dreamed of since I watched the weapon reviews on youtube while all I get is a loucy blue engram. As you, I have not gotten Gjallahorn, yet I'd be willing to give all my strange coins (all the 112 I've saved after XUR HAS NOT BROUGHT ANYTHING NEW TO ME IN OVER A MONTH!) for it. Unfortunately, Bungie seems more worried in getting rid of the cheeses and their new buggie content other than fixing the bugs that already exist (such as the templar at the VoG popping bubbles on you out of nowhere, teleporting for the fun of it and Atheon teleporting a random soul to an empty portal while the rest are in the other and, OF COURSE, THE BLOODY LOOT SYSTEM). But I just pray for the day they do listen to what we have to say instead of what they want to hear and act upon it.

I understand completely. I played 950 hrs and recently got my first gjallarhorn this week. I still think xur should sell it. Rng is so bad and it kills the game's fun factor. If i didnt play that day when i got mine i'd still be on the hunt for gjallarhorn. Xur should sell it definitely.

Dem lies though. 10 VoGs 14 CE At any rate I have about 700 hours in the game and done VOG 60+ times and crota 20+ times. Nightfalls every week and just got Gjallahorn about a week ago. You just gotta keep playing.

8 RepliesI really hope YOU get Gjallarhorn soon. But as a person who has been trying to get it since launch ( I got it around mid December), l don't want xur to sell it. This is the best gun in the game (as im sure you know) so I think this is the one weapon that should drop from RNG and not be bought from xur. Because if xur sells it, then every single -blam!-ing Christmas noob will get the one -blam!-ing thing that took me months and months to get without doing shit.

Just got it on tuesday from deathsinger. I hope xur sells it at some point again. I'd pick up another 2. I won't lie. I took it straight to patrols in the cosmodrome and on the moon. It felt great blasting dregs and other low level trash with it. Hope you get yours soon. *Only played for 250 hours so far. My brother has gotten 2 from nightfall and he is under 100 hours.

6 RepliesRaise your Grimoire score. Get the ghosts. Do Crucible shit. Not confirmed but I think this helps. After I started collecting dead ghosts last week I got 5 exotic drops in that one week. Including a Gjallahorn. And all the Crota raid guns (excluding Nechrocasm).

Looks at profile. Under 30 total raid completions. Unless you are re-levelling up chars to run it again...? If that is case, wowza.
