DeeJ....Play or have the dev team play hard raid with necrochasm and let us know if it is practical

I don't expect an immediate reply....however if my fellow guardians can help me with this one. First let me introduce myself..... My screen name is kapicupr. I have played with many of you and have enjoyed not only immersing myself in the world of destiny, but the social aspect as well. I have seen this game change and develop since the alpha...on a friends system....to the beta....on my own....and later played the instant destiny went live and have never stopped. I have taken on every challenge from the crucible....night falls....Aetheon....Crota...iron banner....etc. and am a season pass holder. Weekly my crew NFMS and alliances destroy all aspects of the game. The jubilation of defeating both raids....both difficulties....week one of there respective releases is and was one of the finest moments I have felt in any video game. Right up there with seeing the bell ring after finally beating Mike Tyson Punchout as a kid. The celebration and pride of first flying back to the tower wearing chatter white....cryptograph....and finally glowhoo.....(when all these were rare and highly sought out) was unbelievable. Trust me you have something going for you, but...... My question is about the necrochasm. What is its purpose. I can find no definitive reason this weapon has been introduced into the game. An end game, hard to acquire, phased auto rifle (from husk to final product) with absolutely no lethality, no balance, no range, no purpose. It takes so many rounds to drop even a hive major while on patrol on earth, I find myself switching to a secondary or heavy to complete the job. In the crucible it is completely impractical. What is the reward in finally acquiring this weapon? Are you afraid of the backlash of implementing a powerful gun such as the mythoclast prior to its first patch? Honestly that was a slap in the face for those that actually spent hours and hours playing hardmode and successfully finishing it. Getting the Crux/Necrochasm in Crota feels much worst. It's like "hey you....thanks for playing and grinding out one of the, if not hardest aspect of an amazing game.....now here is the weakest weapon we have every created!" Oh by the way....hope you have vault space for it. Why are you not rewarding those that have mastered hard mode raid legitimately? Why does it seem that you are pushing seasoned destiny players away with substandard rewards? MY CHALLENGE TO YOU.... Ask your self this.....post a video of your staff for all to see of you playing an entire hardmode raid Crota or Aetheon successfully using the necrochasm as a primary weapon. Post on the next time the nightfall is arc damage. Is it practical? Take a Necrochasm...a Crota raid secondary and heavy....and show use exactly what your supposed to do with a gun that shoots lime juice and rainbows at high level adversaries. Make me and your communities eat our words. Guardians.....bump or add your comments and trend this topic. Keep it clean..... I won't mind seeing Deej or bungie dev commenting on a real or solid issue and using this forum for which it was intended.

  • Not all weapons are raid worthy weapons. Some are just fun, others are useful in narrow circumstances. Necrochasm is a decent weapon but it takes skill, precision damage and submachine gun tactics, keep it close close and tight. Target the center guys and use the explosions to benefit. Grenades, special and heavy weapons, and supers are for high level majors and ultras, not primaries...
