People say the US has the strongest military force on the planet. But is this true? There are plenty of other countries who make billions each year and have high populations.
So is it really as powerful as its made out to be?
Could you US take over the world if they wanted too?
Please note, I am an American.
I was just curious if it really is that powerful.
Posted by: pitbullfathead So much debate over a useless question. Is the US military overrated? The answer is yes and no. The American war machine is a lot of things. It's average soldiers are trained well enough. It's stocked with all the armament it requires. It has the political power to invade other countries. Blind patriotism to fuel the engine. But by far the most influential thing is how much money America spends on the "war effort". Excuse me America, but what "war" are you fighting in? Do you mean forcibly altering the power structure of a country through death? That's the "war on terror" right? Riddle me this, how do enormous jets fly beyond security limits, and America's supreme air superiority is unable to stop it?
Well at one point our presidents strolled in open cars and you could walk all across the white house lawn...so. Pre-9/11 America is very different when it comes to security then 2012 America.
