The Problems with Destiny Raids: Matchmaking
I play destiny ALOT and I enjoy every second of it but.... I can never ever do the raids. The only raids I can do are where level 27's invite me to do the VoG hard raid and can't get past the templar. I have managed to complete Crota once but that was with a group of high level players I found in the raids forum. But now, I can't find anyone to do Crota on hard. So, I propose that bungie should add some sort of matchmaking to raids, weekly heroics, AND Nightfalls. If someone can ONE man Crota and complete it I think a group of random level 31's and 32's would do just fine. Also I have zero friends that play Destiny so, thats not an option either. Just putting that out there.

Not happening, as stated earlier raids are hard enough w/o throwing in x factors. No one wants to waste 1-2 hrs raiding at the same cp because someone is clueless or does not know what they are supposed to do. Get to at least 30 and u wont have problems finding a clan or friends.

Matchmaking on raids would be a nightmare, sorry. Imagine 5 other random people, with no knowledge of the following: 1. Their familiarity with the raid and its mechanics 2. What weapons and gear they will be bringing, and whether any of it is actually proper/good for the raid 3. Whether they are competent or a Leroy Jenkins type, or maybe a hanger-back who wants everyone else to do the work and be backpacked 4. No idea if they have a mic, communication is an absolute need for the raid. 5. No idea if they are a screaming, swearing, or otherwise verbally nonsensical or abuse idiot. Or maybe they just want to mow down on a bag of chips while everyone else is trying to talk. I can actually keep going, but I think that gets the point across. Raids are no place to go with a large group and so many unknown factors. Weekly and nightfalls are a little less of a problem, but their difficulty can still exacerbate and magnify the problems created by an ill-equipped or mannered fireteam member. Just go use the several lfg sites, and get to know some people and expand you friend list through that.
