Is It Really So Great?

For most of my life (since I was 10), I pursued girls normally. But I was a nervous boy then, and had trouble talking to a girl when I knew she liked me. A few years ago(age of 15), I decided that being in a relationship was more trouble than it's worth. Since then, I've avoided talking to any girls who were blatantly interested in me. So I've never been in a real relationship. I have no plans of ever dating, getting married, or having children of my own. (Planning to adopt) Usually, I stick to my plan very well and I'm content with being single forever. However, when I see my friends as happy as they are in their relationships, I get jealous. And jealousy is a very uncommon thing for me. I also just finished a romantic comedy short series, and the characters' thoughts and emotions left me with a sense of longing. I want that. But when I think about it, almost every relationship seems to become stressful and troublesome for the couple in some way. And that's what I'm trying to avoid. I'm so confused! What do you guys think? inb4notablog
This thread is from January 2014 and has been necrobumped.

However, it's still an interesting topic.
• Why are young guys so afraid to put in a lil work? Yes relationships are hard and can be painful at times but the point is you have to work on it. You get what you give and if you avoid it out of fear you will always have regret.
