I know I'm rather late, and I doubt there will be many opinions on it as I don't really know if people here watch anime, but I literally just finished it and I wanted to post my opinions. What did you guys think of the ending? I knew Light as going to lose, as it was painfully obvious at the end of the second last episode where everything is going perfectly to plan. I didn't expect the last episode to be Light and Mikame(w/e the -blam!- his name is) high fiving each other and then going back to go kill some more people as some happy music plays in the background. My heart was pounding though, it was really intense. I wanted Light to win, mainly because Near and Mellow are stupid characters. L's death was badass, I couldn't believe my eyes when he died, and I thought it was over. Near and Mellow just felt thrown in and random. God, I just wanted Light to win. Seeing him disgracing himself and going crazy at the end was just... sad. I've seen people saying that "omg light could have been good man, but the death note ruined it :(", but I couldn't care less. I wanted to see him at the top, ruling the world as a God. But I guess not :(
