In PvP, the titan melee is in my opinoin overpowered, i am referring to the shoulder barge, it is the only melee in the game that can one it kill another player, the warlocks ability and the hunters only dameges and takes away their shield. I think the power of the titan melee should be reduced because it should be atleast balanced between each classes melee.

Because a shield on hit and insta kill well super isn't bad and fyi the hunters back stab is one hit with the talent just like shoulder charge not to mention the base melee rand for a titan is half that of a warlock and hunter
-
Play a Titan. Unless you have played the class you have no valid right to claim about it.
ever notice how most nerfherders like this kid have 2 of more hunters? Wierd coincidence.
No. It's not. Warlock-melee get over shield. Shotgun. I'm dead. Hunter-blink stab me. Shotgun. I'm dead. Titan-sprinting to shoulder charge. Shotgun. I'm Dead. Your point was?

Here's an idea. Before QQ about it, try a titan out see how and what you actually have to do to get a shoulder charge kill. Its takes some skill and practice to time it right. Then maybe just maybe learn how to counter it. Because it is possible to counter it. I like many others are getting tired of all the PvP whiners on these forums. Enough is enough. Get better or deal with it. I'm not a great PvP player but damn if I get killed by someone or something I recognize its a fault of my own and need to learn how to counter it.

Titans made melee does more damage than the other classes. Period. But the warlock has more range on his melee, and the hunter has all around better perks, including on that regens the bar insanely fast or completely resets it on a precision kill. The titans shoulder charge might seem unfair to you, but its actually very simple to counter because it has only one possible method of use: run strait at the enemy and then melee. It takes a couple of seconds to properly achieve the sprint speed, so if you see a titan coming at you, sprint towards him, or back up/move to the side. Any change in your placement makes the shoulder chare useless. If you print-slide towards them before they get enough speed, they'll just run past you or use a regular melee. If you break LoS, they can't do anything at all. If you backpedal fast enough, they can't close the gap, and their charge runs out. Meanwhile, every technique you can come up with to fight them is still perfectly viable and you have given yourself and opening in their defenses.

It's balanced across all abilities of the titan. Striker has no OHK grenade, and had a one time use melee range super. In order to play up on the faces of the enemy (which strikers are designed to do) they either need to tank damage (which is normalized in the crucible) or they need to kill quickly. Shoulder charge is more or less just as effective as more other classes blink/shotgun tomfoolery, and if they miss you can be sure that the follow-up is far more forgiving than a shotgun missing it's first round. My assumption is you're salty that you can't kill a shoulder charging titan in every situation, when you feel that should be the case. That's the same reason so many people feel arc blade is OP, but the truth of the matter is if these abilities were nerfed the subclass would become worthless. Suck it up guardian, adapt and survive, resist and die.
-
It is balanced we have super shitty grenades and a shitty super.
-
It's not a melee. It's an ability.
-
Hunters tenically is if you get a headshot
-
PVP sucks in this game. Stop trying. Seriously.
-
Titans are buff bro they are meant to do some damage. You don't have a Titan though, so until you use one you really don't have a clue.
-
Meanwhile just 2 games ago I had a titan try and charge my hunter. Got 2 shots in with mida and knifed him. He died and I was unscathed. Not op.
-
I played all 3 classes and the Titan is my fav so I know what I'm talking about. Out of all 3 classes, Titans melee are the least of the "OP" especially when it comes to the charge. Shoulder charges are very easy to counter, just don't let us get close and if we do, you better have a shotgun to kill us. We don't get shields when we melee like BladeDancers use when they super or when a warlock does their melee ability or super. If you think we should get nerfed, you're dead wrong. Titans charge is to compensate for the defender class and limited abilities in the striker sub class. Titans are more of a high risk high reward. We have to close in while warlocks and hunters have an option to use their "skillful" golden guns or "nova-nukes" or can go close range with blade dancer or subsinger. Class dismissed.

Says the one with ranged melee..
-
Your mad cause titan save there supers for you hunters
-
Lol coming from a hunter

Edited by KidSixXx: 2/10/2015 2:29:33 PMTitan's Shoulder Charge is not OP. Sticky grenades, a timely Super attack, or a plain ol' shotgun blast to the face will deal with a charging Titan. It is a matter of timing and you can't always be the first to the punch. Better yet, if you see a Striker dashing in for a charge. just jump to evade. I don't ask for other classes to get nerfed because if they are nerfed in PvP,, that screws things up for PvE and you will miss that Striker's Shoulder Charge when it counts during Raids and Strikes.

It's a titan, it's supposed to be physically more powerful than the other classes.
-
Really? You have to be in kissing range to hit anything!
-
No titan, shut the frack up
-
You have no titan you opinion is not valid. If you thought to make one you would see storm fist is a melee, shoulder charge is an ability. Those are two different things. Do your homework first, then you can run your mouth.
-
Lel. No.
-
Well the warlock has crazy melee range over the other classes. They would need "nerfed" as well. Your point is invalid. Hunter has throwing knifes for ranged melee even though they don't deal as much damage as the Titan shoulder charge.
-
Titan melee op? The -blam!- is wrong with you little girl? L2p before you cry for nerfs. Tell your boyfriend bitch.
-
A titan has to be sprinting in order to activate a shoulder charge, and the window they have to do it is a few seconds(unless wearing the Mk 44 Stand Asides). Also if a titan is sprinting at you they will show up on the radar long before they reach you.
-
Um, hunters can one hit melee, so can warlocks, Christmas noob
