PO9000: Well, my name is Matthew a.k.a. Probly_Ovr_9000 a.k.a. 9K a.k.a. the Hype of Twitch. I am a husband, a new father, a gamer, a clown, a guy who wears his heart on his sleeve, and Destiny's self-appointed bartender. I am all about laughing, flexing, yelling, and throwing back a bunch of craft beers. I mainly play PvP, but I actually started out with solely PvE. I try to keep my channel as interactive as possible where those who tune in day by day can decide what we do in a variety of ways.
PO9000: I would say in Destiny 1 it’s got to be the Bladedancer and the Last Word – back in its glory days, of course. It was the gun that up until the last weapon balance was my go-to pretty much any time, so much that I am looking to pick up a replica, because to me it is what Destiny is all about. A first of its kind. There was no gun like it in any game I had played previously, and in many ways, the same goes for Destiny. A first of its kind that I fell in love with back in the Alpha/Beta.
PO9000: It was the wintertime of 2014, and like many, I sometimes feel not so hyped in the short winter days. I saw Twitch and found KingGothalion through my Xbox dashboard as a suggested streamer, due to the fact I was playing Destiny 24/7. I remember just feeling down, and I decided to watch him. Next thing I knew, it was about three hours later, and I was just laughing nonstop. I thought to myself, I should try this out, because I love making people laugh. I did some research, and by asking ProfessorBroman only a few thousand questions about tech, etc. I had set my stream up.
My first green screen was actually six pieces of green project paper duct-taped on the back. My first broadcast was January 2, 2015. Fourteen months later, I had built up a following affectionately named the Thunderdome. With their support and with that of a large chunk of my fellow partnered streamers, my channel became partnered. I always say Goth inspired me, Broman helped me get started, and Teawrex has always been one of my biggest supporters outside of the Thunderdome.
PO9000: My high school friends thought we would be cool back in the day playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and all have Probly names: Probly Camping, Probly Jugging, Probly Nuking, Probly Streaking, etc. They wanted me to be Probly Raging, and I was like, NO, I AM NOT GOING TO BE THAT!! I love anime and memes, so “Over 9000” is a meme from the internet. You'll see things such as Fail Level Over 9000, Hype Level Over 9000, Salt Level Over 9000, and so on. Truth is I am all of them.
PO9000: First and foremost, PC. I am 32 years old, I grew up in the days of PC gaming, and I love keyboard and mouse. I’m interested to see all the intricacies of the game as a whole. The new missions, quests, Public Events, and of course PvP. I have personally felt since the beginning of Destiny that the majority of the maps were often too small for 6v6, but too big for 3v3. When Private Matches came out, I was so excited for 4v4.
PO9000: Did you know that if you have Amazon Prime, you can link it to your Twitch and sub to me for free for a month at a time? Unlocking eighteen amazing emotes and having a beer mug next to your name? True story. #TheMoreYouKnow @p9kSELLOUT
