Xbox Raiding parties

I am super excited for Destiny to come out, but I'm also curious about the Raids. I hear they are stupid hard, and since Bungie hasn't put any matchmaking into them we have to make our own fireteams. The only other person I know who has Destiny and would be willing to enter a Raid with me is my father, but I'm pretty sure 2 guys don't make a successful raid.
