• After about 5 1/2 hours of trial and error, a handful of us made it to the second to last stage of the Vault of Glass. After experiencing both the 2nd to last puzzle, and helping some people try to take down the final boss, we're very close to beating this bad boy. But only have two more days to try before it resets on Tuesday and we start all over. • You can follow our weak raid attempt on twitch. I'll archive the footage on youtube afterwards as well. Also, anyone can particpate via chat if you have any questions. Either by watching the stream, or just going to the url: http://www.twitch.tv/the_edj/chat

We're targeting a 12 pm (CST) launch (that's 1 pm EST, 10 am PST) to take down the VoG. I know of one user that can't make it, so there's an open spot. Hopefully it doesn't take too long to complete, but there are people willing/able to play later in the day. Due to the difficulty level, I think we should mandate the minimum player level be Level 26. Otherwise you only cause approximately 60-80% damage to the enemies, and that's a huge liability. The linked video shows how rough this beast can be. Starting Fireteam: 1.) AngryxMidget109: Hunter: Gunslinger (Lvl 28) -- 2.) the_EDJ: Warlock: Sunsinger/Voidwalker (Lvl 27) -- Free until 6 or 6:30 pm 3.) muskymike91: Warlock: Sunsinger/Voidwalker (Lvl 27) 4.) randomguy01542: Warlock: Sunsinger/Voidwalker (Lvl 27) 5.) townrenegade: Hunter: Gunslinger (Lvl 27) -- 6.) ***OPEN SPOT***: Likely need a Defender Titan for defense/regeneration. We can always recruit a new person as well. Split Fireteams -- There are sections of VoG where the group has to split up to take various paths, with 3 groups of 2. We should plan for those teams and balance abilities. These likely make the most sense. Warlock Sunsingers are invaluable with their Self Resurrection, and the Voidwalkers are tremendous crowd controllers since they can stay out of the mess. Hunter with Warlock Hunter with Warlock Titan with Warlock ***Other possible members*** yoscotty_: Titan: Defender/Striker (Lvl 26) -- Still hasn't provided availability. Arashi_of_Storm: Titan: Defender/Striker (Lvl 25) -- Free SAT 5-9 pm Central -- Available 5-9 pm, Underleveled. Unavailable: ItsJustTom: Titan: Defender (Lvl 26) -- Weapons/ammo prep Buy a ton of ammo synthesis items to help keep your guns ready. Especially if you have to switch weapons, you lose about 50% of ammo when switchign I believe. You'll want different weapons for different scenarios eg ARs for short range, Pulse Rifles for Medium range, Scout Rifles for long range. Machine Guns for greater killer potential, since you don't want to blow yourself up with a Rocket Launcher (Speaking from experience <_< ) Void damage seems to be the key element type to use over Solar and Arc damage.

        • Use tonight and Friday to farm Strange Coins and Motes of Light to spend on Xur Friday/Saturday to help up your character. 23 Strange Coins will buy an Exotic Weapon. 13 Strange Coins will buy an Exotic Armor Piece 26 Motes of Light will buy an Exotic Engram (but character class is not guaranteed). To level up Legendary and Exotic iteams you need Ascendant Energy for weapons, and Ascendant Shards for armor. You have a chance of obtaining these by clearing Daily Events with a Gold Tier rating once a day. Also, Rare or better engrams will sometimes award scendant materials, as well as the Daily and Weekly Story Missions. Playing the Strike Playlist on Vanguard Tiger can also help. Then of course Vault of Glass. They're rare items in the Crucible too. You need a ton of Weapons Parts or Spinmetal from dismantling weapons, along with the Ascendant Energy for Legendary/Exotic weapons. You need a ton of Hadronic Essence and Spinmetal, Helium, Spirit Bloom, or Relic Iron, along with the Ascendat Shards to level up armor to the fullest and increase your light.

Ok, so Saturday is the best bet to get this done around work/school schedules. As a huge football fan, I'll be watching Nebraska play at 7 pm CST, so I can start before, or after. If we start before, I'll drop out and let someone else take my place. And can then fill in after the game (about 3 1/2 hours) if someone needs to drop. If at all possible, I'd like anyone interested in attempting the raid to be a part of the AALoA Clan. There's trophies involved ya know. ;) This isn't a hardcore clan or anything. Just a way to group a bunch of good peeps together and have fun. Whether that's PVE, PVP, Strikes, Raids, etc. Invite your friends and whatnot. If nobody is online when you want to do something, go ahead and recruit new members via sites like GameFAQs, Reddit, http://www.destinylfg.net/, etc. Team balance: With a ton of deaths expected, each class has a helpful ability for team survival. Titans with the Defender bubble, Hunters that can crouch and turn invisible to revive players (Bladedancers I think?), and Warlocks with the Sunsinger's Self-Resurrection ability to prevent the mission as ending when everyone gets wiped out. But I'd expect we need at least one of each class just in case. Secondly, does anyone want to use a guide to just beat the thing? Or do you want to go in blind and hope for the best? This raid attempt was requested by Tom and AngryxMidget. So they're guaranteed two of the spots if available. I based the info listed off the Bungie site or personal memory, so things may be inaccurate. 1.) ItsJustTom: Titan: Defender (Lvl 25) -- Lvl 25 might be too low. 2.) AngryxMidget109: Hunter: Gunslinger (Lvl 27) -- Has Bladedancer partially done? 3.) 4.) 5.) 6.) Expressed Interest (Sorted by Lvl): the_EDJ: Warlock: Sunsinger/Voidwalker (Lvl 27) Free all weekend except SAT 7 pm to 10:30 pm CST and SUN 12-3:30 pm CST muskymike91: Warlock: Sunsinger/Voidwalker (Lvl 27) -- Assumed free randomguy01542: Warlock: Sunsinger/Voidwalker (Lvl 27) -- Free all weekend. Microphone still a question? townrenegade: Hunter: Gunslinger (Lvl 27) -- yoscotty_: Titan: Defender/Striker (Lvl 26) -- Arashi_of_Storm: Titan: Defender/Striker (Lvl 25) -- Free SAT 5-9 pm Central HyperGuyver3: Titan: Defender (Lvl 24) -- Free SAT night King_Hippo72: Hunter: Bladedancer (Lvl 23) -- Free SAT after 7 pm EST, all day SUN Posky: Titan: Striker (Lvl 21) -- Should be free SAT.
