Information regarding the Subreddit and the requirements of joining

Hey guys, just wanted to put things into perspective as to why we’re having everyone go through the Subreddit instead of just posting up here on the Bungie.net site. As of right now, the Bungie.net forums do not allow us to spread information, organize events, and get in contact with each other nearly as easily as we would like. As I’m sure most of you have heard, Destiny is not going to allow public matchmaking for raids, which is part of the bigger reason we are together as a Clan right now in the first place, and why we are pressing forward with such a firm hand on the issue of this board switch. The /r/fyreteams subreddit allows us to hammer out everything exactly as we see fit, and not be held back by the poor functionality of this site here. Also, as I’m sure you can see at the very top of the page, there are only 75 available “Clanmates” slots. We've talked a lot about this and have decided that we’re going to cut the membership down to about 75-100 so that we can have a more tight knit social Clan moving forward into release. Having 170 members already, and the number growing steadily every day, we realize that there is no possible way to get to know, or even play with a group that large (Even 75 is pushing it). This will be on both a first come – first serve basis, as well as a level of activity basis. We plan on having a very active community (Which is why we are cutting down in the first place), and we realize that everyone has lives outside of Destiny, but people that aren't keeping up with the Clan are going to be left behind.
