The Darkness and the 'Soul Theory' in Destiny.

(Everything below is my speculation on the story in the form of a giant wall of text and could be a spoiler if I am half as good as guessing as I think I am. If you don't have an open mind or zero taste for story in video games, then get out pls.) While talking a good friend of mine (known by Self Defeat on the forums) I had some wild speculation on the story of Bungies new universe after he had showed me to a Gameinformer summary video which was very detailed and fact oriented. I've concluded thus far the following things.
Make note that in very early Destiny concept art, they did not decide right away if Destiny was to be a fantasy game or sci fi, so what if they blended the two? Make note than when you kill a Fallen whats believed to be its soul, visibly bursts from its body, I use that as my basis for why souls might be valid in speculation. Edit: Make note that the Darkness has been confirmed to be the Travelers ancient enemy, giving a better edge to my theory's. Speculation on Destiny's story starts now: -The Traveler sparked the Golden Age to prepare the solar system for a war against the Darkness. The Traveler alone knew it could not beat the Darkness alone, despite its own immense power, so it shared its vast knowledge with humanity to use/give humanity as/an edge against the Darknesss. -The Darkness is the fifth race that had wiped out humanity, I am 99% certain of this. -The Darkness is indeed going to come again, to try and finish the job. -During the war in which the Darkness wiped out humanity, it had used humanity against its self, in the form of the Hive and by harvesting human souls. -The Hive are human bodies that have had their souls torn out, and are merely husks of humans used for war. The Hive were basically slave, or still slave to the Darkness. The moon was hollowed out by the Hive to be used as a foward base in the Darkness's assault on Earth. The concept art of derelict and ancient human ships in space, are ships that have been raided by the Darkness, and converted all humans inside the ships (maybe other life) into Hive. -The Awoken are human souls, the Exo are machines with human souls; when the Darkness harvested human souls (to fuel machines and dark magic) some human warlocks/the Traveler had taken back the harvested human souls that the Darkness had been collecting. The human warlocks/Traveler of the golden age, gave some of the souls a magical yet physical form (Awoken) and also had forged a 'soul drive' which embedded a human soul into machinery (Exo). -The reason there are very few Awoken and Exo is because while humanity was being wiped out, they could only save very few human souls from being weaponized or used as fuel by the Darkness. -The Vex and the Cabal are fighting for a Golden Age artifact on mars that could be influential against the second coming of the Darkness or to invade the last city of Earth. -The Vex are guarding their massive teleporter/time machine on Venus, thus why they kill all life near it. -The Fallen were attacked by Golden Age humanity and/or the Darkness when the Darkness came. The Fallen now hold a grudge against humanity and want to raid the last city to restore their own prosperity. -The Vex have traveled back in time/across space to try and save themselves from death by the darkness. The glowing thing in their guts are 'soul-drives' such as those used by the Exo. (Thus explaining why shooting it in the gut is better than a head shot). The Vex has already been wiped out once before, and nearly their entire race has been converted into 'soul drives' and integrated into machines by their own doing. -The Cabal have not been wiped out once before by the Darkness, and the reason why the Vex and Cabal fight for the artifact on Mars is because the Cabal want to use it for their own reasons, while the Vex want to use it to fight the Darkness.
End of wild speculation time, agree, call me stupid, or surprise me, but more importantly discuss. *sips coffee*
