IDEA: New Trading System
Hello Destiny world! I'm new to these forums, but I've been on Destiny since late December, and I currently have a 23 Light Hunter.
But that's besides the point, I'm hearing a lot of complaints from guardians about a lot of stuff, which is unfortunate because I quite enjoy Destiny. I'd really like to think up some new ideas for Destiny to get people back into it.
So I thought, how about a trading system? Basically, you could have a new vendor or a player ran market where you can trade anything for anything! It can be sort of based upon the Fifa transfer market in that either you could have the highest bidder in glimmer wins an item (armor, gun, strange coin,etc). Or, players could exchange an item or multiple items. The level locks would still be bound to the item so no lvl 1 can get a Thorn and ftw. Maybe even add another section to the tower just to zest things up.
So that's my basis of my idea any and all feedback is appreciated because great ideas can help you and others get back into the game. Hope Bungie takes a look at this. Thanks!

1 ReplyI think they should be class matched. By that I mean only legendary for legendary, exotic for exotic etc. with that being said limit it to 1 trade per account per month therefor it wouldn't throw everything out of balance.

Exotic bounty weapons would be untradable. Husk of the pit/ally/necrochasm would be untradable. And bungie would have to find some way of balancing the economy. Although if the rng gods would be more forgiving there would be no need for trading. But it would be great if i could trade my friend for one of his six icebreakers

1 ReplyI dont think this should work and heres why: 1 you get lazy people who instead of raiding, will just grind glimmer and buy. 2 the whole point of a loot table will be gone 3 how would you sustain the "please drop a gjal/icebreaker, please rng please please" feeling? Its a good thing bungie didnt get a trade system in. I admit tho, i hate it sometimes when my friends get a 3th gjal while i'm hoping to get my first..but thats part of the whole reason you keep playing ;) But..keep thinking how to improve the game tho :)

4 RepliesAs soon as you mentioned money I stopped reading. That's a terrible idea. So those with the bigger disposable incomes can acquire there gear without any work, that's a lazy mentality I don't like seeing in games. If you can't be bothered putting the work in, why get the game, not to mention those that could turn that into there careers and it's because of this reason I think Activision never mind bungie ain't in the business of allowing the 'lay' man to make money off 'their' game.

There have been numberious "hey bungie I have an idea for trading" treads they all get the same answer most people are happy with two things in this game . 1 no secession chat or general chat 2 there is no trading Its only a minority that want trading and bungie has already stayed several times there will be no trading system (thank god). Its nice not having to deal with douche bag sitting around the tower "Ive got gjhallhorn for sale only 50$ on ebay or blah blah blah" like every other game that has trading. There will be no trading man.

Not enough items in the game for trading, and trading would cause plenty of issues I believe. Also if you have a trading system it can't be anything for anything, that would make getting item even easier than it already is.
