Someone Explain this to me PLEASE!!!
I am going to explain in a little bit of detail my gameplay and accomplishments because I need some feedback on a problem that I have had since the day I started playing this game.
First off, I play on a daily basis of anywhere from 3 to 7 hours and participate in PVE as well as PVP. I have all 3 Classes leveled up to lvl 31, Warlock is 32 now and Titan can hit 32 with some more Radiant Shards.
I have done the Vault of Glass from Start to Finish over 70 times with almost 200 reward completions. I have done Crota on all three characters every week since it came out. I do Strikes every once in a while, play crucible a little bit every day, but mainly focus on helping others and doing bounties and such.
My problem is that I have NEVER before last week recieved a LEGENDARY Rocket Launcher from ANYTHING in the game. No Engram - Rocket Launcher, No Drop from Crucible, No Hezen Vengeance from the Gatekeepers, No Rocket Launchers from Nightfalls/Weeklies, Not a SINGLE LEGENDARY ROCKET LAUNCHER.....EVER!!!
I decided to gather up some points and bought One Way Ticket 000 after fighting Crota because it was obvious that a Legendary Rocket Launcher is a great asset to have during the fight since I have Icebreaker (which takes up my exotic slot) and usually help snipe as well.
Two weeks ago I got my FIRST EVER Legendary rocket launcher from Crota, but I have yet to see another. I have purchased Truth when Xur was selling them and I have also Upgraded them, but as I mentioned the Icebreaker puts a restriction on my Rocket Launcher usage.
I need feedback from other Veterans out there that may have a possible solution to my problem, theories that may help to improve my Rocket Launcher drop enhancement, or anything else that could possibly help in my situation.
I know that people will say it is just RNG frowning on me, but the odds of a rocket launcher NEVER dropping over the amount of playtime I have (~530 Hours) and all the activities with rewards that I do....are staggering....It is damn near impossible actually....
Thoughts/suggestions/theories/anything??? Help me out guys and gals please!!!!

1 ReplyThere's a rocket launcher safety course you have to take before it will drop a legendary. Bring knee pads for the exotic course cause somebody's gettin f****d and it ain't bungie.

Selected answer , look up random , that's crap i believe it's not random I don't know what it is but its not to me , how can random do what's happened to me and the many others out there ? Look at my stats if random is getting the same weapon drop four times in a row multiple times then that and many many others problems I believe it's planned in some way or run on a different system , I mean random I understand the meaning but it equates to the rareety of someone getting the same thing every drop is not RNG

Since u have hunger of crota u basically won't need an exotic. It's the next best thing for a rocket (right next to it being gallerhorn) so don't worry if u are doing any everyday bounties use a machine gun I had the exact same problem.

Well you are lucky then, out of all the weapons I receive probably 75% have been legendary rocket launchers from engrams, vanguard, etc. I don't even remember the last time I got a special weapon or primary from one of those lol.

First off IB and HofC are a perfect duo in CE raid. Second, I get frustrated as I only seem to get legendary shotgun,ARs, and pulse rifles. I only use hand cannons and scout rifles. So I understand being frustrated by not getting what you really desire. Since the DLC I have not got a single legendary handcannon or scout rifle unless I have purchased it. IF I GET 1MORE COILED HISS!.....LOL

I have One Way Ticket 000 and it is a good one. Truth is a bit better but it still rocks. I will send you a friend request soon as I get a chance. I am at work right now. Thanks for that by the way - it shows you are a nice person. I am an older guy with carpal tunnel who plays most often with a friend who is also a Walock 31 - (I have a 30 Titan too) - but she did VoG at normal for the first time a week ago or so with me and we both made it - it was my second time through Atheon. I don't have a very good schedule to run with a regular group. Most of my roster (over 70) play raids in the very early morning when I have to work in a few hours or on Weekends when I am working. I am off on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and on EST zone.

I have one titan character lvl 31 I never seem to get legendary armour I played crota 4 times twice last week and got hazen vengeance and this week got one way ticket, two weeks ago defeating the arkon priest I got truth. I'm still waiting for decent armour and bloody shards so I can level up my armour. I have started to level up other characters but you have put a doubt if it worth doing that. This game is pissing me off as every one I know is lvl 32.

I can't remember where I read it honestly. ***Disclaimer*** I've heard that your engrams turn into weapons based on ones you are currently using and ones close to the style.of the weapons you are currently using. From the nightfalls I have always gotten either legendary hand cannons or scout rifles. Both really similar to each other and I main both. I bought Three Little Words and the next day I received a crucible package with Three Little Words in it and I started receiving more pulse rifles from engrams (just rates) When I first started using SUROS I got a lot of Auto Rifle drops. What I think is funny about your post is I got my first legendary rocket launcher the other day, Hezen's Vengeance. Then I got a 331 rocket from an engram.

Level up Hunger of Crota rocket launcher. That one is much better than the garbage Truth. It's also a Legendary so you can use Ice Breaker with it.

It's like BINGO. The random number generator picks from the categories of B I N G O than it picks the number from that specific category and what ever is called out u will get it. If I could rig the RNG system I would not be here today lol
