So Bungie appear to be turning into a financial market or very crappy Banking RPG.
The amount of currencies and separation in the game is getting ridiculous now:
Actual Currency:
Glimmer
Vanguard Marks
Crucible Marks
Motes of Light
Strange Coins
Fake Currency:
Radiant Shards
Radiant Energy
Ascendant Energy
Ascendant Shards
Exotic Shards
Crucible Commendation
Vanguard Commendation
Then add on all the reputation and exp we have to manage:
Exp
Light Level
Vanguard Reputation
Crucible Reputation (x 5)
Thanks Bungie for putting up obstacles and randomness. I don't think these things are "stupid" as such, but they don't seem logical. Surely we should be able to trade in Motes of Light for something else such as Glimmer etc, especially as what the Speaker sells is tat. Now Xur isn't going to be selling Engrams there is no place to offload Motes of Light and get a decent reward.
What is the point in Glimmer only 3(?) NPCs accept it as their currency and they mostly sell stuff you don't want to buy.
The Gunsmith... what a joke he is!
Shipwright - Again, pointless. Why doesn't she at least sell paint jobs for my ships/sparrow
Guardian Outfitter - Has some ok stuff now she has new shaders (but don't think they rotate) generally pointless, especially as my vault is full of Emblems I can't buy anymore.
The materials are random, I won't get into an argument about play styles, but there should be a path for the more casual player to obtain materials in some way without RNG being involved. Usually what you expect in other games, and MMOs, is to do a mission where you know what the reward will be. Then you can keep an eye out for those missions or you can repeat it if possible. Yes this is open for abuse, but as there is no market place you aren't affecting other players or undermining an economy.
Starting to lose sight of my Destiny, the game is becoming convoluted and inaccessible on a casual basis.
