I've never had this problem, but seeing as a lot of people are complaining, it must be happening.
Question: Don't people get disconnected due to inactivity after so long? Or does that not apply in strikes?

Most people will position their controls a certain way so that they are still moving so the game thinks they are playing.

I had to answer the door while I was on a strike a few days back. After apologising over the mic (which no one else was using so they prob didn't hear) I got up to answer it. 10-15 mins later when I got back I was back in orbit with a screen saying I was returned due to inactivity. So I think if you genuinely afk you get kicked, quite rightly so they can matchmake someone in to take your place. I'm all for that. I guess you can rig the controls to fool the game and I guess this must be what some people do. Which is obviously out of order. If I spot it early on in one of the longer strikes I'll quit and start over. On a short strike so long as there's two of us I'll just crack on. I don't care if someone else gets free loot or not, I'm into this game for my own enjoyment and those who I play with, not rand afk'ers.

I have yet to see anyone get disconnected after inactivity in a strike...and I see a lot of inactive players. I report them for inactivity as well, but still don't see anything happen.
