Constant Raid Changes (Please Read)

This message is to be brought to the hands of our loyal messenger, DeeJ, and sent to bungie headquarters. Week 1: Opening, "The Director is light on details for the Raid in Destiny. This is by design. The most elaborate mission ever created by Bungie is a mystery as much as it is a challenge – a puzzle and a gauntlet...The Raid will demand that you operate as a team. Cooperation is the key to your success...Of course, once you have completed the Raid, we’ll invite you to try it on hard. That’s the true experience." The guardians playing destiny read this in awe. A puzzling mission as opposed to one of a single path. We will rise to your challenge Bungie and defeat this Raid any way possible. Week 2: The First, "For the first to finish it, there are even more meaningful rewards. Nothing can undo PRIMEGUARD’s accomplishment in completing the opening act first, but Bungie is still watching to see who can unravel the tighter knot." It has been done; the first team to defeat Atheon on hard mode. Does this mean we too can accomplish this incredible feat? Let us give it a shot after perfecting it on Normal. Week3: The Truth…or so we thought, "We love seeing what the community is capable of accomplishing in our game." Many of us have finally defeated the raid on hard mode. We have found our strategy, reaped the rewards, and are prepared to execute the plan again. Week 4: The Boundaries, "Kill volume added to sniper platforms to prevent players from sitting on top of them...The encounter goal for Atheon is to act as a climax and the culmination of learning for a given Raid group. Part of that is making sure that each player in your group can perform every job as required. A change will take effect next week which fixes a bug with Atheon's target selection. When using its Timestream ability, Atheon will select 3 players at random, instead of choosing the three players furthest from it." What? I believed this mission to be puzzling…to use your surroundings and knowledge to rise to the challenge and win. We have fought, died, and solved this puzzle without the use of any others. Delegating individuals to complete their tasks as a team, even without the sniper towers…What did us as a community do wrong? We solved your puzzle and you are stealing pieces as we put it together. What could possible be next? The point of all this is to see the last few weeks compressed into one for the raid. Bungie wanted us to use our skills to accomplish something that they believed to be impossible without perfect communication and skill. We, as a community, took a seat next to the developers at bungie as they were having trouble with their puzzle, figured it out ourselves and then they flipped the table in frustration before telling us to do it again. Is this right? Or are we wrong? First, they decided to fix the bugs within the Raid and I completely agree with that. Atheon and the Templar being able to be pushed off the ledge is a definite bug. I am pretty sure I would notice an edge if it were right in front of me. That being said, the sniper towers and the ability to coordinate who is going into the portal are no bugs. This has been well thought and figured out by the few of us who wanted the raid to be what they intended it to be, a puzzle. I can explain all day that we did not look up help for these sections, that we defeated the raid on normal in 41 minutes with loot runs and exploration, how we beat the raid on hard mode in under an hour and a half with the towers and under two without, and that one of our members with three hunters has every reward for the raid in his possession, but none of it matters…there is always someone better and all the more power to them for their accomplishments! Finally, what is your end goal bungie? We have solved the uncrackable code but limitations continue to be placed on us. You wanted destiny to be played with many choices on guns, weapons, armor and play style, but now it is all heading in one direction. We all must follow the same path in order to achieve victory. Is this what you wanted? For us to have the same armor and defeat your raid with one option? This is clouding all of our views and pushing us to all walk down the same path…please make sure this is what you want us to do. Your friendly guardian, Krahzi
