*ATT* Bungie You Have Destroyed Our Reason To Hard Raid! MSG From Hard-Core Raiders!

Simply put, My team has "completed" the Hard Raid 3 times now (not to mention the amount of times we have played it for us and others!) and not until Sunday night I finally got the Vex "pre-patch" Mythoclast and boy the grind , hours, drinks, chips, arguments were all completely worth it. This gun actually felt like a gun I had to work my ass off for, it felt like a Hard Raid reward, and not to mention it's a random roll at the end of the raid anyway's so your never guaranteed to receive it. Now because this gun is OP in PVP you go and nerf it "GAME WIDE" WTF, you have taken our sole purpose of doing the hard raid and shoved it up us "hard-core raiders" ass's. If the gun was OP in PVP then nerf the F@ck%ng thing in PVP don't punish the PVE side of things because of the sooky people getting owned in PVP by the BEST and HARDEST gun in the game, mostly because they can't get a good enough team together to complete the raid themselves, I feel this is just a load of crap. Surely when you created this monster of a gun you knew it would OP all others in PVP and have put a nerf in PVP right from the start, but no you do it now once many of us tasted the fruitfullness of it's power in PVE. I have put this gun to rest now since the patch and only use my "Last Word" in PVE as this gun has become useless and eats bullets. Bungie I ask you to put the enjoyment of melting our foes in PVE back in the game we love, our enemies should kneel down and beg when they see a guardian with a Vex Mytho in hand. [b]Nerf the VEX in PVP[/b] [b]Put it back to original specs in PVE[/b] This is all I ask. P.S Us hard core raiders strived to get this weapon and for those that got it pre-patch were over the moon and felt like all the grind was 100% worth it, but now with this gun being no better than my Last Word WHY THE HELL would we want to grind for hours in the hard raid for it? Silly decision making Bungie. [b]Edit:1[/b] to the PVP players commenting please don't hijack this thread, I agree with you this gun was OP in PVP but we should not be punished in PVE because of it, the majority of people that play this game play it for the PVE aspect and we don't want to have to go through the most grinding raid to get a "lotto" exotic at the end for it only to be nerfed and made weaker than a hand cannon. This thread has absolutely nothing to do with [b]PvP[/b] [b]Edit:2[/b] Thanks for all the comments guys, I just want to re-cap on one single idea that has been covered before but would fix the issue instantly. All guns that you acquire via the raid "element damage weapons" and are [b]NOT[/b] legendary should have been put into there own category "Elemental" or "Mythical" and coloured Red or the OP colour Dark Orange then just simply ban this category from the crucible. Job done. [b][u]Elemental or Mythics[/u][/b] - Vex Mythoclast ( cannot be used in crucible ) - The Necrochasm ( cannot be used in crucible ) [b][u]Exotics[/u][/b] The Last Word Ice Breaker Pocket Infinity etc etc etc etc etc etc

  • Would like to say a huge thankyou to all that like and posted there thoughts on this topic, it seem that Bungie do listen to there gaming community and have change the Hard Raid reward (Vex Mythoclast) for the PVE side of things, this is great news!!

  • Totally agree. I could care less about crucible, I went up against the mythoclast multiple times, and yeah it was good but I could still beat it. It wasn't that hard. Then I ended up getting it a few days before the patch and it felt so awesome to use. It actually felt and played like an exotic weapon (most exotic aren't that great). I didn't even go to pvp with it, me and my group just started the raid on hard again right after. I loved it, it could destroy so much. It was amazing, it was a raid exotic in my eyes, it felt special. But now it's far from it. I use a legendary hand canon that I got from iron banner now, which isn't even levels all the way and is still better now. Honestly I can see how people thought it was op on PvP but I'm not asking for that to be changed, like I said I could care less. All I'm asking for is it to be returned to its original state of a true exotic in PvE. Give people a reason to raid on hard again. Please.

    • I agree the nerfing has gotten completely out of hand in a shooting game guns are supposed to kill people, let them! PvP balancing is killing PVE the enemies arent getting their armor or their weapons nerfed so everything is going to get gradually harder because weapons are getting worse and worse. Shotguns are a prime example u need to be like 3 feet away from a target in PVE to kill it might as well just mele at that point.

    • Honestly I get the feeling bungie have no -blam!-ing clue as to what is going on. Release half a game, shitty events which is no different from the crucible, nerf now ask questions later, there servers giving so msny issue's, no communication to their community, most repetitive game I have played in a long time, boring world when it comes to interactivity, and shitty PvP. One thing they did get right was how beautiful their worlds look and thr sky boxes are -blam!-ing sexy!!! The visuals are amaze balls. Game has potential to be great buuut bungie nees to step up their game. Sorry for double post

    • Whilst I agree they over cooked the nerf. You've done hard raid 3 times... that is hardly a grind. Get over yourself buddy, you are punching above your weight to be self titling as a hard core raider.

      • The rifle is over all weaker yet they made it crit higher so if you actually can aim the nerf shouldn't be a concern

        • If anything, they can bar you from entering the crucible if you have the vex equipped. Problem solved.

          • I'm not even sure Bungie has the architecture for tweaking things exclusively for PvE and not PvP. Otherwise I don't think they'd nerf it in PvE to begin with.

              @Bungie 95% of your community want this gun put back to original specs for PVE, and made to feel like it did a Hard Raid Reward Exotic. 5% are the 5% getting owned in PVP and just want it nerfed in PVP they don't care less about PVE. Don't make us all suffer for the 5%. Bungie please read!! Ideas of lore you could have added to the gun if it was nerfed in PvP and "not" PVE. "Against the dying world this gun has no bounds, but brought against fellow guardians see it fall into line" Simple line of lore to let owners know it's reduced in PVP.

              • Isnt the only way to get the gun to finish it on hard mode? Isnt it still a killer gun? Did your advantage before patch make you a better player than normally? I dont really care for the gun but try looking at it from another angle instead of feeling like your being punished.

                  I support this. Yes, The mythoclast outperformed anything in pvp, but it was perfect for PVE. If you really want to fix it, prevent level 27s from pushing atheon off the cliff thus reducing the number of mythoclasts in the game.

                • Agreed @SpudFett511, This game is 95% PVE Openworld exploration, with a 5% PVP aspect to cater for the PVP players, this feels as it was just thrown in to make them happy, yet they punish us PVE / Raiders for the 5% ers???? WTF is wrong here? Give us our game back to how it should be Bungie a PVE Exploration world with AWESOME rewards/loot. Period.

                • Agreed, im sick of this catering to the PVP crowd when the game is clearly 98% pve. Crucible seems like a cheap add on to me and has no real meaning. If there were clan or faction wars maybe it would add a more sense of purpose. This nerf just makes pve and raiding, and the whole game less desirable to play.

                  • +1 Thank you, i feel the exact same way. Come on Bungie give us PVE players our gun back. There is no reason to raid anymore, the hardest and rarest reward has been reduce to a sub par weapon with stats that are worse than rare scout rifles. I feel the Vex is one of the worst exotic weapons in the game now. And it's a slap in the face for the people that worked so hard for it.

                  • Locking things that can help someone in PvP behind hard mode was a dumb decision to begin with and never should have happened. That being said it's not easy to make the gun behave differently in 2 situations. Especially in a game with pve and pvp being mixed together so deeply.

                    • Exactly, 20% yes but 34% WTF are they thinking, and to nerf in PVE!! This needs to be adjusted ASAP or we have absolutely nothing to raid for apart from gear we are only going to dismantle "for us lvl 30 players"
