Honestly one thing this game needs to be perfect is to be able to trade between two different players, especially in those moments your a titan with a legendary hunter item you don't want, but that your friend does..... It would be amazing to implement this into the game and would make so many people so happy. Another idea was that Destiny should have marks shared across all characters like glimmer, same thing for rank as well. It would be really nice to have that in my opinion. What do you think?

I think trading will come in the future after some more DLCs come out when there are enough exotics to warrant a trading system.
-
I Think An Auction House Kind Of Thing Would Be MUCH Better Than A Player To Player Trading System. . . I Do Like That Clanmates Trading Only Idea But I Can See A Lot Of Players Taking Advantage Of That And Join Clans That Will Give Exotics To New Recruits And Then Leave. . . So Probably An Auction House Is The Best Thing For Destiny To Have To Still Have That Feeling Of "Earning" That Weapon/Armor That You've Always Wanted.

Trading system wouldn't be that great mostly because all of the good items would be "bound to account". Plus, there's no crafting like in other MMOs (SWTOR). No crafting means much fewer unique items would exist. It would just be a bunch of crappy purp and blues u could sell. Exotics would definitely fall into " bound to account" category.

Trade amongst fireteam members that drops occur in, yes. Trading with stolen accounts and gold farmers in the tower, no.
-
My thought is that lets say you always play with 1 or 2 friends. All play a different class. You just want to kill some time, so you run some strikes. The Titan of the group gets the cloak of taniks, but the hunter has been grinding for 2 weeks for it. So in the end game rewards with friends that you have been friends with for maybe 2+ weeks (to prevent people just giving all of their loot to randoms). That way your friend is happy and you are happy to help them out. There should be a trading system but it needs some restrictions.
-
Sure as long as you couldn't trade exotics or raid items.
-
Absolutely NOT. if anybody has played Borderlands recently you'd know that it's super easy to find people who will just give you good gear AND THAT TOTALLY RUINS THE ENTIRE PREMISE OF THE GAME!
-
Why not a trading spot in the tower? That way Bungie still has full control, but players can trade the stuff they don't want for the stuff they do. They could even make it possible to trade up. Like three legendaries for an exotic, and/or two primaries for a special.

Edited by WINTER PROPHET: 3/11/2015 4:33:47 PMIf Bungie was trustworthy enough
which they are not
to implement this feature responsibly
which they aren't
then I wouldn't have a problem with it
but since BUNGIE has a problem with playtesting their patches I can't see trading as a viable possibility
especially since I've had 4 Gjallarhorns since launch, kept 2, and have several friends who have extra HardLights or SUROS I could trade with
but since Bungie hasn't proven they can put out patches without issues no I don't trust them to implement it so it's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to developers who don't have the community's best interests at heart
.

Edited by malignus7: 3/11/2015 4:27:27 PMyes, i would like to see some kind of system that allows me to give my duplicate weapons to a friend, i mean, you can only do CE on hard 3 times a week for 4-5 weeks straight hoping to get a certain gun, when ur friend gets it 75% of the time. I have recently been playing Diablo III and found a system in that game that will work for Destiny. In Diablo, every player has a mailbox(postmaster) in the safe zones(tower), this system allows you to send and receive almost any item in the game as long as the other player is on ur friends list. What im saying is this, if Xur as 30 minutes left before he leaves for the week and my friend is 1-2 strange coins short of buying GHorn, why cant i just send the exact amount he/she needs to them so they can pick it up at the postmaster. This should go for any thing.

No this would break the game.

I really hope we get one. And I do honestly think we may, as I feel their is no other reason to not have increased vault space by now if they weren't trying to limit and control a would have been flooded market. This is what would have happened if everyone was able to keep everything that passed through their hands already.
-
in the end screen of nightfall would be enough.
-
Maybe not player to player but clanmate to clanmate so we have purpose to be in a clan. I mean having a team to raid with is great but there is the forum to help gather people which means having a clan has no purpose
-
Yes, but I don't think we should be able to trade exotic and maybe not even legendary: I mean I know one guy who has 6 exotic weapons alone and I think it would decrease the value of finding something exotic. Furthermore the fact that glimmer is only used for a few things at higher levels means it's not a currency very fun to trade. I defiantly think all marks and currency should be assessable across characters though. Also when using a trading system people can scam noobs out of really useful items! It just wouldn't be fair :/
-
I won't vote since account wide currency is not an option.
-
If you put in a player trading system people will start selling stuff online for real money....then it just becomes an issue. I'd maybe like it if it was limited to like 1 trade a week or something. But not for open trading.....
-
-blam!- that. Go RNG your shit like everyone else did. Crybaby bitch.
-
I would definitely want a trading system so my friends could give me some of their good weapons since my horrible luck hasn't rewarded me with anything. Plus it would just be really cool.
-
I really want a red death, and the anticipation at the end of nightfalls, exotic chests in raids, and purple engrams keeps me playing. If i could just trade for it, the game would die for me. I have everything else I want in the game.
-
Best idea yet
-
This would become bartering, Real world money. Bungie would be sued. A lot.
-
Everyone just needs to work hard and get a little lucky to get the stuff they want, its not that hard. People who complain about not getting what they want are the ones who don't play nearly as much as people with guns like the vex, ice breaker... And so on. I earned my best guns and not easily. Any sort of trading system would ruin the game. People are just lazy and think things should be handed to them.
-
It'd be cool, and I'd love it, but I know it would be too abusable and people would exploit it
