Firstly I'm glad they decided to do this, this game really needs voice chat if it is only for matchmaking. However the tower really needs some form of communication. (I'm an xbox user here, no idea what playstation offers) If you guys don't want a voice chat in the tower, why not just add a text chat? Xbox has smartglass so typing for most wont be to much of a problem, along with keyboard typing support (I'm using that now) just something so I don't have to dance around people all the time and actually have fun conversations while sitting in the tower. I don't understand why Bungie is so scared of people griefing others.. It's live literally every game you play over an internet connection will have 13 year olds cussing your mother.. we're used to that, and thats not a reason to keep prox chat out of the game. The warning before you log on to a live game is enough.
