FWC not only wants to fight, they believe the battle with the darkness is inevitable. FWC want to gain knowledge of the enemy's tactics and hardware to create better and more futuristic weaponry to better stand up against the Darkness AND WIN. To me, this sounds like the most logical and best chance to keep the Human species alive. Dead Orbit: Where are they going to run to? Do we even have ships capable of making it to the next solar system? By looking at what’s on the launch pads in the Cosmodrome, No, we don’t! New Monarchy: Pffft. Yea, changing the government will fix all these issues. You might as well sit on the proverbial Throne. I will not speculate further. Osiris: not much as been said about this Faction, but Osiris is a god of the afterlife, ruler of the dead. He was also described as the 'Lord of Love' and the 'Lord of Silence'. Osiris might be a hope for new life after death. Osiris faction could go off in any direction, but little is known about this faction and we will have to wait and see how they apply their namesake to the situation at hand. I may defect to the Osiris Faction from FWC if I like what I see. Seven Seraphs: next to nothing is known about this faction. However, there must be 7 Seraphs! When you look up a Seraph, it is a type of celestial or heavenly being (AKA Traveler worship?). In Judaism and Christianity, it literally means: “The Burning Ones”. In the Book of Isaiah they are described as Firey, Six-winged beings that fly around the “Throne of God”, and Tradition places Seraphs in the Fifth rank of ten hierarchy (Jewish) and the Highest Ranking angelic beings in Christianity. So one might deduce that the Seven Seraphs may actually be holding out hope for other races from the universe may ‘swoop down and help defend the human race’ –maybe. Or maybe there isn’t just one Traveler. There might be more. Coming… For now, Future War Cult is the best choice for me, but I am holding out to learn more about Osiris and Seven Seraphs for more details about these two factions. As the Destiny lore begins to unfold, I may change my current view and align myself with one of these two factions instead.

  • I think the seven Seraphs have to do with reviving the warminds

  • Seven Warminds maybe? Rasputin on Earth, Charlemagne on Mars... maybe that means one per planet which gives us Mercury, Venus and Jupiter and beyond. 8 major planets (but Jupiter is too big to land on so that leaves... 7?)

  • I wonder because haven't they said that only earth, mars, Venus, the moon, and the reef would be locations in the full game? With mercury containing the special trials of Osiris? If that's the case then maybe there are more warminds on earth, like a Chinese warmind or something like that. Also it seems as though the warminds failed pretty miserably

  • Dunno where you have your data from but go have a look over at http://destinyhub.net/content/61-The-Locations-of-Destiny and tell me what you think?

  • Plus that article is more than a year old. I mean no offense, I want to visit Jupiter, Saturn and mercury as much as the next guy

  • When I looked up locations on the destiny website it only shows you earth, the moon, Venus, then mars. I've also seen screenshots of the map (on the forums, so their credibility is in doubt to say the least) where only those five locations are shown. The map opens up as you explore more. Hell, the beta only showed the Earth, moon and Crucible after all. Destiny have said this is their biggest game to date... what we have seen would make the game their SMALLEST game to date. I have a feeling that Bungie want to shock us when we get into the game and see how big it really is. Remember, they have been planning this game since before ODST... so they can keep secrets.

  • Stuff like that is what I like to hear, thinking about it, maybe those are the only locations on the website because those are the only places which we only saw in the beta or have been utterly confirmed (I.e. Mars). I want to be able to visit most of the planets because for some reason if I don't I have this sneaking fear that the game will feel incomplete, and I don't want to feel that way at all

  • I've read in multiple places that there is a wreck out there somewhere... never seen it on the planets though... Nah... I think we are going to have a BIG surprise coming...

  • That could either be the reef or the ruins of that one ship in the rings of Saturn Beta already wowed me, I'm preparing (albeit with some frustration) to be wowed again

  • Which ever has the best pay. Idk about who will pay the most but I think the dead orbit logo seems the coolest. I don't really know much about any of the factions

  • The war cult is pathetic and closed minded long live new monarchy

  • Thanks! I'll be sure to edit for FWC soon! #TeamFWC I also heard that for the 7 seraphs, there are 7 bunkers you need to go to to resurrect them and they would help fight the darkness or something of that matter. That's what I think that faction is about.

  • Hua. It seems to me that as far as the Bungie Personnel, a LOT of them are 7 Seraphs.. That to me seems interesting..

  • I'm also led to believe that pretty much all the members in Osiris are awoken. That's all I know bout them other than they are trying to resurrect some other Seraph-like being to flight the darkness.

  • Yea. I still think FWC is the best choice for now, and maybe it will remain the best choice. Not that we need to pledge allegiance to any faction or anything.
