Here is a list of reasons why ODSTs are more bad ass than Spartans:
01)Marine Corps
02)Semper Fi
03)they don't need military grade steroids to be badasses
04)no mommy and/or daddy issues
05) orbital -blam!-ing drops! Feet first! And no fancy armor to protect them while they do it.
06) more personality than a brick. Suck it Master Chief
-
02)Semper Fi
Not the USMC

ODSTs are expendable. Which is why they drop them into combat from ORBIT, in drop pods that have a disturbing tendnecy to fail...and leave the human burn to ashes on re-entry like a meteor.
-
More ODSTs have died than Spartans. Checkmate
-
03)they don't need military grade steroids to be badasses
spartans don't need military grade steroids to outclass ODSTs.
04)no mommy and/or daddy issues
in that place there are now *drumroll* relationship issues
05) orbital -blam!-ing drops!
chief does this like every other game
Feet first!
face first
And no fancy armor to protect them while they do it.
nah, instead they just have a really strong box encapsulating them.
06) more personality than a brick.
A) how does this put ODSTs above spartans, considering the fact that spartans have always had a lot of personality? B) the rookie, while serving his purpose as a silent protagonist, has less personality than any other protagonist in any other halo game.
Suck it Master Chief
yeah, that guy with a more interesting personality and relationships than all the ODSTs put together should suck it
-
I hope they improve in halo 2
-
I think you accidentally the sentence
-
Uh, no. A Spartan would shitstomp an ODST any day of the week.
03)they don't need military grade steroids to be badasses
Neither do Spartans. Their training is far more rigorous and intensive than that of the ODST's training. Let alone Spartan IIs being genetically superior to any ODST even without augmentations.
-
ODST was one of the best games of the halo series in my opinion
-
ODST's > Spartans
-
ODSTs suck. I'd rather have Spartans on my side than lolODSTs. I don't remember a ODST blowing up a Halo ring. I don't remember an ODST crashing through an Assault Carrier with a Covenant bomb then arming the bomb, causing the ship to asplode and I most certainly don't remember an ODST getting the Scarab Gun.
-
But now... ODSTs are Spartans! Dun-dun-duuun.

Edited by ShaughnTr0n: 8/19/2014 5:13:36 AMLet me remind you that Master Chief fell from orbit 3 different times. Without any pod.

No mario is more baddass stop trolling
-
Yeah, I'd say so. That, or more suicidal.
-
Hi onion ring we played battlefield 4 yesterday(: I agree with you completely by the way #SemperFi
-
You are entitled to your opinion, but...
04)no mommy and/or daddy issues
You don't know that..
orbital -blam!-ing drops! Feet first! And no fancy armor to protect them while they do it.
Because they are in that big metal container that protects them from re-entry, you know the HEV pod. Other than those flawed points, I understand you.

A 14 year old master chief tool on 4 hell jumpers and killed 2 of them
-
The Rookie had more personality than the Chief, and he didn't even say anything throughout the whole game.
-
LOLNO
-
They are. I have to agree with you here. They are natural born killers. Natural born badasses.
-
You forget what the Spartans training consisted of
-
I personally think that while ODSTs are cool and all, they're too biased to the Spartan program for me to link them. Except for the only true silent character, Rookie
-
they don't need military grade steroids to be badasses
Er... neither do Spartans. There's FAR more to a Spartan than their augmentations. From the age of 6, they're put through a brutal training process every single day. They receive very high-level education, which includes maths, science, history, reading, writing, and military tactics - there's a whole segment of The Fall of Reach which shows how he calculates in his head the difference in reaction time he has compared to a normal human when he drops the pin in the Atlas's gym. Likewise, Kurt's candidate report states that he articulated a number of solutions to "complex social problems" on his planet which were later deemed to be viable by expert sociologists.

1.NAVSPECWAR 2. -blam!- you 3. Spartan's as young teenagers were going up against marines and beating them 4. Spartan's don't have mommy/daddy issues 5. No fancy armor? Of course not, they have an HEV drop pod to help them. That's way more than fancy armor. 6. Read the novels with more Spartan II's and III's.

ODSTs drop inside pods. Spartans drop with nothing but the armor on their backs. Also, before the augmentations, Spartans were in peak physical condition as well as incredibly intelligent due to intense training and education they underwent for years. The augmentation just served to (wait for it) augment that. They far surpass ODSTs in every category.
