This is only true for PlayStation 3 and 4. The Xbox 360 and Xbox One does not currently support digital preloading.

That isn't exactly true. Microsoft just announced digital pre-loading on the Xbox One at Gamescom. The catch to this is that they stated the option won't begin until FIFA 15 which releases September 26. If only they had this ready for the Destiny launch.

Which is why I mentioned "currently", because it's coming soon, but it will not be ready for Destiny.

Once you get the game from the shop, will there be any downloading you have to do? Or play straight away?

Edited by xSPB Chaos: 8/21/2014 3:27:56 AMJust like any of the other Xbox One games, you will need to download and install everything from the disc. This game is going to be very large so I expect it to take a very long time. I pre-ordered this game from Amazon.com but they can only guarantee delivery by 8pm Tuesday. Destiny releases (on Tuesday) at Midnight in most places and the servers go live at 12am (western time, so 2am central and 3am Eastern). If there isn't digital preloading offered for Destiny, I'm going to have to cancel my Amazon.com order and go pre-order with Gamestop in order to get the game in time.
