Tales from the Cryptarch: A Guide to Factions (incomplete)

"Are you saying you don't appreciate the security and stability that factions provide?" ~~Gozen the Warlock "No, I think what I'm saying is that the faction heads are genocidal psychopaths who agree on nothing and that the average guardian is too busy buying my weapons to notice." ~~The Cryptarch New Monarchy-- While a relatively peaceful and democratic faction, the New Monarchy are paranoid sycophants, power hungry to an extreme degree. Given to political squabbling and showmanship, they're always willing to sacrifice almost any single individual so that the "greater good" can be served (what constitutes the greater good is conveniently left up to the ruling body). Remind me to tell you about the smuggling contract they "requested" I complete. Dead Orbit-- Although claiming to value independence for all, Dead Orbit representatives are notorious for their covert assassinations and shady dealings. Unlike other factions, they unofficially have no leaders. Instead, the ranks are a hodgepodge mishmash of veterans, anarchists and fatalists forming an unlikely alliance - xenophobic and masochistic crusaders of "truth." Nearly all known cases of shoplifting that occur are a direct result of Dead Orbit. Future War Cult-- Militaristic, fascist, dogmatic purveyors of the unknown, the War Cult is the personification of ruthlessness. Highly organized and single minded in their efforts, they won't hesitate to put a bullet in friend or foe alike, so long as they're just "following orders." Rumor has it that the crucible owes it's invention to former founding members of FWC. Still, the War Cult are perhaps my best customers, stockpiling more ammunition than any other faction. (Please note: This is a work of FANFICTION only. In no way do ANY of my stories accurately represent current or future lore made by Bungie. As always, thank you for your continued interest in my writing.)

  • I'd like to be able to meet people by walking up to them and saying hey. Not fiddling with teams and friends lists and chat boxes, etc. I'd like to share laughter or thanks with strangers in the moment, not after the fact. It would be pretty easy to just turn this setting off if you're not interested, or mute specific people if they're being obnoxious. What do you think? Share your idea's here and in a bunch of other threads so it spreads like wildfire and bungie does something about it before launch! (ik this is off topic but this needs to be heard)
