Don't you guys think it would be even easier on these dads if they could spliscreen with one of their children? Don't you think they could get more play time in if it's sweet, sweet bonding time with their kids?
I am baffled that the DoD haven't mentioned it. There are a few possibilities, of course. Like, maybe they're trying to play Destiny specifically to avoid their kids. Or maybe they did mention splitscreen, and someone decided that wasn't worth putting in the article.
Whatever the case may be, they're talking like they're new dads, dads who have babies, not children.

Wait untill you're a parent son. You will understand you time then.

Sure, I might not be a parent, but I was a child at some point. I've had the short end of the stick regarding this situation. My father played video games for "me time" and now I'm 2,200 miles away from him with no plan to go back. I practically raised my baby brother alone, and nothing good came out of my dad playing by himself. So, while it is true I am not a dad yet, when I become one, I will be participating in my child's life to the fullest, and if he wants to play video games with me, by gum he's going to play video games with me.
-
There's me time but there is also family time, why can't both be while gaming?
-
Completely agree with you. Playing video games in the living room (because that's likely where your console is) right in front of your kids and saying it's "me time" is messed up. And if you retreat into your bedroom for console gaming, then you're leaving the mother alone with the kid while he wonders where daddy's at.
-
I don't question that gaming is "me time" for whoever feels that, so I don't think you actually agree with me. I'm only saying it can be both family time and me time.
-
So you're saying that he can have me time while playing video games, but also family time while playing video games at the same time? Like, he goes for me time, but his kid wants to play too, so it becomes me time and family time? Because what I'm saying is that they can't be together. That video games can be me time while you're playing alone, or family time while you're playing with your kid. In both scenarios, you're playing video games, so you should generally enjoy the experience, is what I think. Not trying to be argumentative or anything, just trying to straighten out what we're both saying lol.

Edited by DawnBlue: 8/7/2014 3:12:09 PMNo I'm not saying that, lol.
There's me time but there is also family time, why can't both be while gaming?
Where does it say "at the same time"?
That video games can be me time while you're playing alone, or family time while you're playing with your kid.
That's what I'm saying. Which is why I agree splitscreening would be awesome for playing with children.

Okay! That means we agree :D

Are you truly inept as to what a User ID or Alias is? Then again I haven't had faith in the younger generation.

A real parent be that much of a dick and a good parent so good luck with your rebelling kid and Highschool dropout. And you say you don't have faith In the younger generation. But what about your son

All you need to know is grammar is your ally not your enemy. I find it disturbing you have no idea the difference between an' hour or so of down time to neglect.
