Why does $60 seem like the standard?

This video is about the current prices of games, I know this is off topic but I wanted to post in the place where it could get the most attention. If you have time to watch this 5 min. video please do and let me know what you think. [b]EDIT:[/b] To clarify, this post is not meant to be a complaint. It's supposed to be an honest query to get people thinking about something they might not otherwise think of.

    It seems like market dictates the "true"worth just weeks or months after launch. I guess $60 is there as a standard and if a game isn't or doesn't feel worth that then it drops a little after launch. Watch dogs for example is $40 on xbox 360 and $50 new on xbox one And you can buy it used for $30 on each system. That's just two months.
